The Bosch Indego S+350 and S+400 are identical machines - but the 400 model has more wire supplied for a bigger area to be handled. The price difference can be significant, so do check the length of wire that you need. I enjoyed the video - thanks.

I've seen many robotic lawnmowers, even expensive ones, that just stake out random lines, and it looks awful, and is very inefficient. This one seems to go systematically at it, which is what I would want. So thanks for showing it doing its thing.

Hi Lee, a quick couple of questions please ... I couldn't really detect the difference between 5cm and 3cm cut height. Are you sure it went to 3cm as I'm aware 3cm is actually very short? Second point is the mower appears to be going backwards and forwards in quite precise straight lines perpendicular to the long side of the lawn ... is that true? I realise it may deliberately mow a different pattern 'next time' but it does appear in the video to follow parallel, overlapping lines? Sorry to be so techy - but keen to hear your response. Trevor Murray you don’t need to apologise for being techy ask away!! It does mow pretty short for the 3cm setting and yes it over laps each parallel run. I did about 5 test runs and it changes the ‘pattern’ each time slightly. Overlapping each run. I’m not sure what it’s pattern limit is. You do need to be really careful with pinning the wire or ideally burying it. I reckon you could slice through it really easily if not careful. Hope that helps! Happy Gardening.

Great video. This is still a good video over 2 years later. I wonder what do you do if you extend your garden. Like one spot was closed off and then you open it and extend the wire. Do you need to remap everything?

How would this work if you have a front lawn and a back lawn but only 1 docking station? Can the mower be moved to mow a different area inaccessable to the charging dock?

Hi Zoe. I don’t think it’s built to work that way as it always returns to the docking station. You’re probably best speaking to Bosch to see if they have a solution for your requirements. Happy Gardening! Lee

I'll send them an email and also look at a battery greenworks lawn mower as maybe that would be just as easy (very long lawn and cables are the bane of my life) 🤣

You could just not cut the wire when you connect it in the base. Just leave it all wrapped at the back of the charging base and connect the end of the wire into the base. That way if you resize your lawn area you can unwrap more wire from the back of the base.

Hi Bizno. I’ll be honest I’m not that technical with the electrics and supply of it. I was reviewing it as a gardener taking it straight out the box! I’m sure if you went on BOSCHs website they have all the details to help you there. Happy Gardening! Lee

If it helps, the mower mows for 45 minutes and then re-charges for 45 minutes as many time as it needs to for a complete session.

Yes it's battery does decline over time and unless set to 'little and often' I found it took a long time to mow the garden. Though I also know of another gardener who has a few and then mow his 1 acre estate!! Go figure!?! 🌿🥷

Hi, I have 700+ model. It cuts very nicely but never covers 100%. It leaves some parts uncut 🤷🏽‍♂️, everytime another part, any help?

Yes, during the cut it goes one time time to charge itself. And it returns to cut after. But still the cut is not complete 100%@@Gardenninja

Yes I too quite like the meditative mowing experience when the suns out! Not sure everyone shares that view though! I saw a man grunting almost throwing a flymo around the other day mowing his from lawn in anger. Poor chap!! Haha.

Bonjour, je déconseille ce produit . Après moins de deux mois d'utilisation sur un terrain plat et simple, la tondeuse ne sait pas tondre les mauvaises herbes et se bloque souvent. Le rendu est tout simplement mauvais, la pelouse ne ressemble à rien. Le sav ne veut rien entendre et ne veut pas reprendre le robot. Dommage l'idée de la tonte en ligne était alléchante mais la fonction première reste de tondre convenablement et ce robot n'en est pas capable. je déconseille a qui que ce soit de l'acheter.

I totally disagree with this. We have had ours for two years now and it has worked brilliantly. Weeds and all.

The thing is that the mower goes out regularly and cuts just a little each time. We actually have out set for mowing three times each week - long grass is not what we wanted.

Over engineered & overpriced! by the time you measure and map it out quicker to run up n down with a petrol mower!

The set up is just once, and isn't really hard work. After that, the Indego just does its work, quietly and reliably. No petrol, no noisy engine and fun to watch. Ours has done two seasons now, and we love it. Each to his own...
