BOSCH washing machine E18 Error Code (blockage in the filter) EASY FIXING

I want to show you a potential problem, if your washing machine shows the E18 Error Code, this is how can you fix it.

Hi, I am unable to unscrew the plastic cap there. It is too tight or something is blocking it. Any ideas on how i can do it?

Hi, Probably something blocked the cap. If you cannot remove it, need to take off the drain pump. When removed all tubes may you can see what has stuck there and can clean out. Then you just need to return the pump. Please let me know if you need any help.

Hi, I don’t have video to remove pump on Bosch washing machine, but I have on a Hoover Washing machine. The method is same, so you can follow the instructions . Hi! Unplugged the waste water outlet and discovered a button and lots of fabric that most certain hinderd the water to flush out. Running a testwash now. 🙏

Hi, May slowly the water can pass through blockage, but when quickly needs to let the water out it won’t work. If a hairpin block the pump and open the filter water will flow, as hairpin is a small object, but don’t allow the pump to work. I’d recommend to check the filter/ pump/ tubes thoroughly.

Hi Sari, Please unplug your machine and a few minutes later the door will be available to open, even the door opener us not broken. It must be a blockage somewhere around the pump or in the tube that join the drum and the pump. Usually black colour and around 5cm diameter.

Hi Adele, My first thought would be the child lock, this is normally 2 buttons combination. If not this, I ‘d say the door lock needs attention.

Hi, The filter could be opened anti clockwise. It’s hard to turn it and probably you did correctly, but the object that caused the blockage has stuck and not allow you to turn it. You need to take off the pump, otherwise you will broke the filter’s door. I have a video for a Hoover washing machine blockage in the filter. You can watch this video how to do.

Hi, I looked into and found out this means the inlet pipe is blocked and no water in the machine. There is a little filter where you join the pipe to the machine. Remove the pipe and clean the filter. I hope this will help. Good luck

Hi, Google says: This error code indicates a faulty analogue pressure sensor in your machine, which identifies how much water is in the machine. Any fault with this sensor stops the machine working efficiently and will need to be attended to. I hope this will help.

Sorry for the late response, there is no sensor, the error message is automatically deleted if the problem was solved. Did you check the waste pipe? May that is blocked and cause the issue. Or check the pump, it could be there a blockage. Like a stuck hairpin, plastic, coin and cannot come out to the filter.

Hi. The E00 code does not indicate an error, but a positive result that the washing machine gives as a result of service testing. In other words, a washing machine Bosch tells us that the service test is passed, there are no errors. Regards George

The blocked water will mature in a short while. When filter has cleaned good to run a high temperature wash.

@@georgesworkshop8600 yes I discovered that it created an odor too despite the clothes being properly washed (as they were trapped inside), and THANKS to you and your video I eventually found the culprit!! However it took emptying manually the machine several times till I finally found the hair tyes which was back breaking using tube to manually remove excess water. THANK you 🙏💟
