All About GSS 18V/12V-13 Professional Cordless Orbital Sander

Our 12V and 18V systems each welcome a new cordless orbital sander! The GSS 18V-13 and GSS 12V-13 Professional offer optimal control thanks to excellent ergonomics and outstanding tool balance.
With its robust metal housing, the GSS 18V-13 Professional offers maximum control on larger surfaces. Together with the powerful ProCORE18V 4.0Ah Professional battery and brushless motor, faster work progress is also assured.
Above all, the GSS 12V-13 Professional is compact and handy, making it very suitable for overhead applications, in vertical positions or in hard-to-reach places. Therefore, this variation is of particular interest for the construction site!
Both tools come with the rectangular plate, but it is also possible to acquire a delta or square plate allowing for even more applications. This allows corners and edges to be sanded well. For reduced dust without a vacuum cleaner, the grinders come with a dust bag.

Impossible to find reasonably priced paper in US. Bought this tool a few days ago and I'm returning it today without ever using it. I'm not going to use a sander for which only proprietary sandpaper exists.

What idiot designed the dust port on the side, the dust bag doubles the width, extractor hose sticks out at even more stupid angle, gets in the way of an otherwise narrow sander. Will there be a mk 2 design with dust port under the battery, if runtime is so good it doesn't need a bigger battery than 4.0ah. Missed opportunity with these sanders such a shame. Everytime you see a picture or video it's always of the side not showing the huge dust port, I'd be embarrassed not to show it as well. Maybe do a video of chopping it off and a diy refit lol. It looks the part but did bosch actually ask a tradesperson to test this in the real world, doubt it. If your right handed sanding skirting board you either turn it on its end or spin around and sand towards you or use left hand because of the dumb dust port.

Thought so too but I own this I refinish cabinets not big deal also have the festool RTS 400 so I like that one but dust port not s big issue

​​@@Therealphantomzerolove my Rts 400, got rid of the Bosch and bought the makita dbo480, dust bag on the rear, not the pad size I wanted but I love it, as a decorator sanding skirtings etc with the dust port on the side drove me mad, shame it's a nice tool in the hand but it does hinder it's use
