The boots store has been there at least since 1975, I used to walk through it after school to catch my second bus home from school. This was to access Haviland Road West which was there before the centre was built. The 23 bus went from my school in Southbourne to Boscombe and ran along the main road before it was turned to pedestrian only. Then the 25 bus to Holdenhurst Road and home. The other store with the canopy was the Co-Op back then. Happy times !!
