Thanks a lot for that, I had the same issue with my Mazda 6, but the good thing is that EONON figured this out now, and they have a ready made replacement cable for BOSE systems, you don't need to do the mod manually anymore.

Is this going to use the Bose subwoofer still? If I understand correctly you're wiring only the front/rear left/right speakers to the Head Unit. What about the subwoofer?

You are the best Sir. I have the Same HU butt for a mazda 6 2008 and it came with a Bose adapter , the adapter fixed the sound butt audio quality was poor without a decent Low input , Your technic it is way better not same as original Bose, because the Original HU has a procesor for sound and Eonon dosen t or it has a poor one,butt it is amazing and simply enough for everyone. Thank you i have saved a lot of money and time,redoing the cabels and instaling an amp ans Speakers it was my last Resort.

Hi there, did u do this so that low outputs will bypass the CAN-bus box?
@MrCrispy19914 ай бұрын
I know I'm late to the party, but I currently have an issue. I purchased a knockoff of an Eonon head unit. It's exactly like the Eonon with the same serial. The listing on Amazon said it was compatible with the bose speaker system. However, after attempting to install it I realize there is no way to install the bose system to the head unit. I tried looking up online for a connector but with no luck. Your video says I only need low power going to the Amp, which makes sense but thr color code on my harness doesn't seem to match yours so I can't follow your guide. Anyone have any resources to help me? Also want to note, the head unit works great, just no audio.

Maybe I'm missing something but I was told that if you install an aftermarket radio there will be no sound at the speakers because the Bose amp will not get a power supply as it was fed from the stock item. Is there a easy solution to this...

I bought an equivalent (Kunfine, looks so similar it might be out of the same factory actually) and plugging it as it is out of the box I get all functions seem to work but no sound at all. This is the behaviour without doing this mod , right ? Just to confirm this is what I have to do.

What went wrong with your Nexus 7 install? I prefer the Nexus 7 option. Thinking to do the same. How are you finding the unit? I've had the aftermarket android unit on mine for few years and it's really bad. I find even the steering wheel control CAN decoder is too sensitive too. It randomly does things by itself like go into different sections and initiate calls by itself.
@shanemouton76064 жыл бұрын
thanks for the video, this was a great idea although this is not working for me at all. I am working on a 2012 Mazdaspeed 3 with BOSE. The wiring harness that they provided me does not work, the stock one gets nothing and this method, same thing... The OEM unit is working correctly, my fuses that I can see on the radio are still good and all thats left to check are the fuses in the car itself although I am sure that IF they are fused the OEM radio wouldnt work either... Any ideas? Also, my system is BOSE although in the fuse box, where the BOSE fuse is supposed to be, there is no fuse terminal to insert a fuse on. I wonder if mine is wired differently causing the issues...

Hey, thank you very much for this video! It is the only I found that addresses this problem and provides a solution. I have one question though, since I don't understand how this 'hack' works. Does the way you wire the Bose system in any way alter the output/quality of sound compared to let's say that of the OEM CD player? You say that you don't need all wires just four.
@cbutters7 жыл бұрын
it could alter the sound quality depending on how clean your connections are done. if you have a botched soldering job you could get crackles or sound cutouts.

What am I doing wrong. I tried to just hook one up to make sure it would work before I did all… do I have to do all to even test it? How does the amp even get power and?? There are two harnesses on the back of a stalk deck, what is the smaller one for? I assumed that is for the amp? Please help.
@the_blank2 жыл бұрын
hey if you didn't figure this out i got it working today and is way easier. I have a similar deck but it's not the same but the idea is. On his harness you will see a wire marked "amp con" it's a blue wire on the bottom right in his video. On my RCA harness, there is a separate wire with the other cables that just needs to be spliced to that wire and the deck will turn the Bose amp on automatically, no need to do anything else. It's there for after-market stereos but works with the bose unit perfectly.

Which high-level speaker cable do you solder the RCA connection to - the positive or negative? My understanding is that there are 8 high-level cables (4 channels with positive and negative on each channel) and 4 low-level outputs (FR/FF/RR/RF) - I want to assume the positive but want to make sure.

Johnny Vande Woude Actually, it looks like you go 1x RCA connection soldered to both the positive AND the negative, but I can't tell.

Hey man I dont know if you still monitor these videos but it you could give me some advice that would be great. I'm installing a pioneer nex2300 and I didn't realize that bose Amp would be an issue.. I'm using the harness that came with the head unit that I've powered and grounded and hooked up all of the accessory wires to (parking brake bypass, steering wheel controls, etc), I just dont know how to connect the 8 wires from my harness to the 8 corresponding wires coming up from the vehicle. If you could explain how to go about fixing that using the RCA cables I would greatly appreciate it because I'm not following from just the video.
@lucarvian8 жыл бұрын
Seems that even with the newer model of eonon, 6163f, people are still reporting that you lose the voice command controls on steering wheel. Some report dim screen, but eonon claims it is fixed. I would like to replace my bose hu, but still not confident eonon has got their software issues addressed yet.
@dzzzzzt6 жыл бұрын
Hey, thanks for the video! I've watched it more than 10 times and every time I'm deciphering something little else and my understanding is almost enough to do this myself. I still have questions but the most important right now is this. You gave an example of how to wire the two green cables but they are distinct - green and green/black. On my harness the two purple and the two grey ones are almost identical. No black stripes, the same colors. Can I assume that the order of the cables is the same as with the green ones if I set the harness horizontally? For example the four cables are like this: green, green/black, purple, purple. I assume that the second purple is the equivalent of the green/black. Is this going to work?

@@mohdahatram775 yes I have, from android device you take a AMP-C (amplifier wire) and connect it to main harness from vehicle, not the steering wheel harness. Great video! So what method did you use to splice the cables? Did you just solder the two cables directly and then used heat shrink to cover them up? Why can't I buy a harness and not have to do this?
@cbutters9 жыл бұрын
+tigerbalm Because nobody sells a harness to do this. The bose setup is so different than anything else out there, almost all head units are meant to power the speakers... in the case of the bose head unit on the mazda, it needs to send low level outputs down the harness into the bose amplifier. (headphone jack style) rather than full powered high outputs (lots of voltage to power speakers as well as audio signal.) Basically the wiring is so different and obscure, nobody bothers to sell anything to power this correctly, thus you need to do it yourself.
