Yes, I highly recommend it...it makes watching Blu-Ray music DVD's on my 70" TV a pleasure...excellent sound quality with no distortion!

I picked up the Bose CineMate 1SR soundbar in the US and now want to use it in India. I have been told that I need a "step-up converter" and that I should not connect this unit to the plug point in India. Can someone please let me know what I need to do? I am not sure what a "step-up converter" is and where I can get one. Thank you.

Hello sir! I am also from India but I live in Canada. Every so often I'll fly over to India to visit and I'll bring my phone and laptop chargers with me. I have the same problem as you; for the Canadian plug doesn't fit with India's outlet. To fix this problem, I simply went to a department store which they sold something called an outlet adapter. With a device such as the Bose speakers it is important to purchase an adapter with over 2000 WATTS of transfer energy. I think you could purchase that for around 2500 Rs. Hope this helps you :)

You may need "step-down converter", US appliances run on 110 Volt, as in India appliances run on 220 Volt. Step-Down would convert 220 volt to 110 volt, and converter would provide you the socket which fits in Indian sockets but lets you use US appliances on it. Hope it helps.

Sound bars are so funny, overpriced and crappy sound. They are a hit with women because most like small things that have sub par sound. You can get 2 kick ass 15" cerwin vegas tower spears for same price and they will blow this piece of shit system right out of the water both in sound quality and volume. and they make nice end tables ;) I feel bad for those that don't know better and spend so much on crap just cause of the latest hype!
