Just a correction, previous Soundtouch Bass Module has 2 drivers 5.5" each. Smaller drivers are more accurate and precise as they move faster when required for the movies. I have no doubt this bass module may be good but comparing 2 drivers 5.5" to 1 driver 10" i doubt it could be double or way better. Just a fraction good due to technological advancement only i can imagine. And frankly i own Bose and have heard it for good 18 years. I think Bose is slowly demanding more and more bucks than offering more powerful units that can actually produce more power than just focusing on surround and lifelike experience. The 901s were award winning only because they were powerful yet they had a lifelike sound. Now Bose has ignored powerful sound, instead asking more and more money and only focusing on lifelike experience for sound lovers who also want powerful system when they spend USD4000! Again, i am a big fan of Bose and only my fair point of view.

Ali i have the previous gen cinemate... and i dont like its base.. its pretty garbled and it cant really go low.. i have compared it with the cinemate 650.. the base is soo much better... the missing highs are also there now... but now there is a sort of emptiness or hollowness in sound..i prefer B&W

@@dhruvsharmas Cinemate is totally different than Lifestyle series and bass comparisons are only done from 650 and previous LS-48, 535 and similar bass modules. B&W is really good too, but only the higher end ones.

On playing DOLBY VISION, my UHD, and Blu-ray players, all have two HDMI Out. 1. i connected my newest HDMI cable (doesn't have to be really expensive) to HDMI Out No.2(or Sound Only) to the Lifestyle 650. 2. On HDMI out number 1(or Main)for Picture (Video)i connected the newest HDMI Cable directly to the HDMI input on my Television (bypass Bose). Yes , you can have DOLBY VISION on Lifestyle 600 or 650, just use Bose for sound only.

The terrible thing is this system is still 4K video compatibility, but not true 4k compatible but price is $4000. $200 tv has a true 4k capability nowadays and same old remote from past 10 years redoing for new systems. it's a Damn shame bose, isn't it?

hdmi is used only for audio, you can use just the ARC out from TV into the bose to pass the audio. For 4k video use your receiver or tv input

Bought Lifesytle V535III in 2015 for USD5K, now has issues with Wifi connetivity. Raise the issue was that Bose technical team was aware of the intermittent connectivity issues, apparently will be releasing an upgrade December 2017. Now, what does not make sense my connectivity issues has been going since 10 month ago. Bose will say just to pass the buck and after they got their money, don't hope for support anymore. I regret buying, was looking at buying new system which wilk give a piece of mind. Bottomline Bose does not care!!!

I use a Denon X3500H AVR and a 5.1 SVS prime satellite system with the SB1000 subwoofer... It sounds so much better than my previous Bose lifestyle system... The SVS system is half the price of the Bose but is so much better... I have also been to ATLAS to try out the Bose lifestyle 650 speakers.... I compared them to a SINGLE Devialet classic phantom... The classic phantom is half the price of the Bose lifestyle 650 but it is many times better than the Bose... Finally, I would disagree with the salesman that the Bose lifestyle 650 system is for audio enthusiasts... Most audio enthusiast and audiophiles hate Bose due to their high price tag and Low sound quality... In fact, if you say that Bose is good to any audiophile or audio enthusiast, you will start hearing such poems: “NO HIGHS, NO LOWS, MUST BE BOSE!”
