These are one of the best batteries you can buy, I am going to do the same to mine soon, the batteries they come with are not good and are possibly dead for everyone I just bought might 2 months ago and battery life sucks on it. Please do a follow up video on how long it last after the battery swap! We would all love to see the benefits after replacing the battery.

I don't know yours, but mine has a five point stat shaped head screw with a pin in the center, I couldn't find a tool to remove those four screws, is not a Security Torx Bit, any idea how to remove them, thanks a lot

well its a 5 Point Screw Bit with the hole in the middle is called a Hex Shank Five-point and the 6 Point screw bit is called a Star Screw you can basically find it any shop but he used a T 10 i believe or 8

lol 😅 ... Heck no … I’m not doing this to my Bose speaker 🔊 …. This guy is using a soldering iron to remove connections to a circuit board. I thought this battery replacement would be easy … just like the Bose Soundlink Mini … For the Soundlink Mini, you get a battery off of amazon and remove 2 screws from the speaker and just drop the new battery in.

Did you know that the mini has 4 different battery versions? yes: -Mini1-2013 S/N 061XXX (the first mini), it will work with amazon batteries as you said. -Mini1-2014 S/N 063XXX (the 1.5 mini), Amazon batteries will not work because this model is DRM BMS Battery blocked by bose. So no chance to repair yourself. Bose Charges $50 for the replacement. -Mini2-2016 S/N 088XXX (the second mini also "LE"), Batteries are solded to a board just like on this video so no chance to easy replace. It can be done with generic battery but is the same process like in the video. -Mini2-2019 S/N 080XXX (the 2.5 mini or "SE") (Currently available on bose website) this battery model has DRM protection and there is no chance to replace because there is no generic batteries. Bose charges $75 for the replacement.
