Thanks Spyke! Didn't pay attention to the rest of the video after I realized what I was doing wrong. My headphones were also showing up with their name as a tablet/phone. Instead I picked the generic "headphones" option then it paired nicely. Time for some pristine sound, all to myself!

These are wonderful headphones. I purchased the purely for the noise canceling but the sound isn't bad at all. In fact, i rather like the sound signature from the QC 35's. The noise cancelling has really helped me with focus on my programming work. Worth every penny.

What I had to do was clear the bluetooth connections - so follow this: Slide the power switch to the Bluetooth® symbol and hold for 10 seconds until you hear "Bluetooth device list cleared". Delete your Bose QuietComfort headphones from the Bluetooth list on your device. All Bluetooth devices are cleared, and the headphones are ready to connect a new device.

Incomplete review. You have NOT shown us how to use both audio AND mic in this review. Why didn't you show us how the microphone works in applications such as Skype or Jabber?

At about the stage of 0:50 in the video after your QC35s confirm you are in pairing mode, my PC window showed a setting that said "+Add a Bluetooth Device". That wasn't automatic like it was in your instruction. I had to click that for PC to 'Find' my headphones. Then appropriate windows clicked up. Thanks though - have been trying to do this for about a year!

Make sure you keep the on and off button pulled to the side while you are searching your devices. At first my QC did not show up as audio device. It did while I kept the on off button dragged all the way during the process. Hope this helps anyone :)

To the people who struggle to connect the headphones to windows PC's: you have to delete your devices from the headphones(slide the power button to the Bluetooth symbol for 10 secs until you hear "device list deleted...". When i search my QC35ii in "Add Bluetooth Device" the only option that shows up this the phone/tablet icon, the headphone icon doesnt show up, ive tried restarting the computer, rebooting the headphones and even tried using the Bose connect app but still only the phone/tablet icon shows up?

I recently purchase the new Bose QuietComfort 35 and wanted to use it for CSGO. In my sound settings of playback devices, i get 2 devices: Headset or Headphones. If I were to set Headset as the default device -I get a small static sound -the sound from the headphone becomes extremely bad -mic works If I were to choose headphones then -the audio sounds fine -mic doesn't work at all -No static sound If I go onto the Recording tab in Sound(Control panel -> Sound) I set headset to default device and the static sound comes back again.

Yes, unfortunately if you want both the mic as well as in game audio its not a good device. I disable the "Headset" and only use headphones for regular music listening, and enable "Headset" and disable "Headphones" if I want to call someone on Skype. Never used both at once

It took me a while to figure this out for some reason. But In my case, what I first did was connect to my phone before I attempted to connect to my pc. After trying to connect to my pc I couldn't see my device. Its worth a shot to hold the on button for 10 seconds, which will erase the previously connected device from the list, then looking for the device. Hope this works for you guys.

Hi my bose noise cancelling headphones connected to my car speaker and work laptop via Bluetooth. I'm trying to connect to my personal Lenovo running windows 10. When I add device is shows Bose quiet Control 30 but when it tries to connect it says "We didn't get any response from the device. Try again." I've tried 4 times and have my updates. My work machine is a Lenovo. So how do I resolve this? Thanks!

Bose headphones should be on. If not working, suggest that you hit "forget device" and repair the headphones. Latest Windows 10 update should make it an easy one to get paired

Are you using Windows 10? If yes, and if you selected the correct Bluetooth icon to pair, then the device should appear. Try removing the device from your Devices and Printers menu in the control panel and from your bluetooth remembered devices, and repeat the process again, it may work!

Right click audio icon, select recording devices, you should see the headphones there. Right click on them and click enable device. Should work

also check to see the headphone is selected in your skype settings, that may be a possible issue

The QC35 won't pair and work until upgrading the laptop or PC bluetooth drivers. The phones work out of the box, but sometimes the computer isn't compatible. So it's just a visit to the laptop manufacturer site, enter the model (good luck on some laptops), download the bluetooth drivers, install, restart, done.

I would suggest that you disconnect and forget all devices and try again. New Windows 10 updates should make this easy to connect now

William T. Karlsen it won't crackle that's for sure. I've used it for Skype and the quality of the audio was crystal clear according to the person I called.

I did exactly as what you did. My Bluetooth settings showed the headphones. I connected it and my QC35 started blinking white. Then my laptop shows connected but my QC35 is always blinking white. It does not establish connection.

Casper Make sure your headphones are in pairing mode by moving the power switch twice. If that doesn't work maybe you don't have the right type of Bluetooth driver to accommodate headphones. What laptop is it?

Pulse Can you see the headphones in the "recording devices" section of the audio settings? If yes you need to set it as the default device by right clicking on it.

TheIsotopes By repeating again. Don't connect using the other icon, if you have then forget it. Turn off Bluetooth, turn off headphone, then turn on Bluetooth, turn on headphone, put in pairing mode, and hope that headphone icon comes back. If it doesn't still, turn off Bluetooth and restart PC. It's a pain the first time but then it's hassle free from there on out

Elite cobra make sure the headphones show as paired first in Bluetooth setting with the headphones icon. Then only will the device show up in recording and playback devices

Florian Silbereis There should be one microphone in the recording section of the sound menu. In order to get it to work however, you need to enable the headset audio device in the playback section, not the headphones

I just spent half an hour trying to pair these. The pc saw them but wouldnt connect them. So I ran various bluetooth and device trouble shooters. I think what fixed it in the end was simply deactivating the previous realtek audio, go to Control Panel/Sound to do this. I had removed it before, but that was not enough, I had to deactivate them in Sound settings. Hope this helps someone else.

FYI, I have tried doing the setup on a Windows 7 laptop, but have never yet gotten it to work. It even shows in the devices and is connected, but audio never plays on the headphones. If anyone has been successful please let us know.

Well, I tried to connect both PC(win10) and Cell Phone at the same time By App(Bose Connect) via bluetooth. It woks now! I can play PC music to QC35. It took me 4 hr to collect possible solutions,but fix this problemt in 5 min. :O May you try App to connect QC35 and PC at the same time. I'll try it on win7 later.

Me personnaly i achieve this with my connection with Bose Connect App on my phone. You connect with your phone and you go to bluetooth on your app and you connected with your PC. But i don't test the mic Sorry for my english :/

what Bluetooth version does your laptop have? Try a simple restart, forget the device from bluetooth settings and try again. Also make sure the headphones are in pairing mode

Please be aware that there 2 ways that earphone in a PC: Hand-free (this is the one you are using and also works for me but this is looks like 2º world war sound quality even worst) Stereo: if you select it the earphone became mute, it means, does not work at all. For a Phone that cost very expensive and say "the phones are good"! REALLY for real. Bose, you fail! I would never buy a single product of you. Thanks I have tested before buy. I definitly go for JBL or Sony. Bose no way. Thank you engineer for think about it!

Given that the headphones work perfectly with both my iOS devices and my Mac, I'd actually say "Microsoft, you fail!". It's Windows that can't connect properly to a bluetooth headset operating under standard protocols.

Agree here. But Windows has definitely resolved the problem. It works fine. You need to connect using the "Headphone" setting not "Headset"

Can confirm this is still an issue for me. I'm now using the QC 35 II headphones and the Hands-Free quality is BAD, and the Stereo quality is non-existant (because there is NO audio with that option)
