The buzzing is considered as normal, according to Bose website. Faint mosquito-like artifact in one ear Faint artifacts are normal when Active Noise Cancellation is high. In some instances, you may be able to hear a faint mosquito like digital audio artifact when in a quiet environment, not listening to music, and ANC is on high. This is usually most often observed in the left bud but can occasionally be heard in the right bud. This sound should be faint in volume and is normal.

You are the only reviewer I've seen that actually discusses the downsides. I am so sick of the gaslighting. I'm on my second pair. I've had them less than a week and am already experiencing the same defect: intermittent static sound in the right ear bud regardless of environmental conditions. They also have the mosquito sound, but I can put up with that. I can't accept the static noise. So, I'll be requesting a new pair again and I'll keep doing that until they send me one w/out this defect. However...I'm suspicious that there are no "good" pairs. I think the people who claim to have good ones are either shills (liars) or people who's hearing is damaged and play their audio at a high volume; masking the static sound. I am very conscious about damaging my hearing and so I pay a premium for ANC so that I can play at a low volume. That IMO is the point of ANC. A product that can't be played at a low volume is a deeply flawed product.

what about the sound for calls, pls? :) would you recommend the quietcomfort buds II over the ultras?

Good point regarding lack of mesh in eartips. I wanna also point it out that if you're going to wipe it out, it goes through this mesh and there is no way to clean it so you must be careful.

I have the sony xm4, xm5, airpods pro 1st gen, jabra elite 10, beats fit pro. And other non flagship earbuds. This is the only buds that fit perfectly in my ear. And I love the sound quality, and this is the only earbuds makes me scared walking outside with ANC on because you can’t hear anything.

Hahah, then Ill most probably love them, I returned the Jabra elite 10 becuase they had nothing particularly special and would often fall off my ear when doing lots of effort, hopefully the qcu dont disappoint me

Well to be honest Bose as the best top notch customer service in the industry, the new pair they send me is zero issues and the sound quality is the best if the best!!! And I own a few high end earbuds but Bose Ultra number one with that immersive sound!!

I have ultras. I have no idea what are you talking about problems with them?! They work perfectly for me. And btw,i have an old chinese android phone with 3G internet and ultras rock. Same goes for my QC45.

Bro living in a bubble. Check the comment sections on any Bose ultra review or the Bose forums on Reddit. You might have got a “good” pair but the sec your ass gets into a gym and sweat with them, you’re gonna be in Bose warranty purgatory.

@@Fredo.heavyy Bro,i speak for my self and my ultras. Dont give a damn about other peoples issues. The only thing about them i would say is a "problem" is Active sense in aware mode. When youre in aware mode and they "hear" loud noise they turn on ANC by them self to protect your hearing.

@@zerocooldeviation Do me a favor, go into the Bose app settings, scroll down to “technical info” and tell us your “date of manufacture” mines is July 20 2023. Seems like depending on what batch you got, you might NOT experience issue.

AZ80 hands down, better sound, better EQ via app, better BT connection, better experience.

The ANC is easily the best but the sound is airy and shallow and they have a mosquito simulator in your left ear bud.. So kinda defeats the purpose

Really? And they’ll send you a replacement for the QC II if you complain enough. Still doesn’t fix the buzzing left ear or the misreported IP raiting doe.
