bose soundlink color 2 does not turn on

There are some suggestions on how to reset your Bose Soundlink but none solved my problem until I did remove the battery

You where right!!!!! it works!! 100% bad solder or contact plate. Sad story is.... I found this video minutes after placing a order in amazon for a new battery. I ordered the one with 3300 mAh instead 2600mAh original. Now I'm listening on my shitty Bose KOOL & THE GANG while typing this... :)

My speaker does this all the time. The idea that a speaker in this price range constantly needs to be reset is nuts. Get a different speaker if youre looking.....It dies at the most inconvenient time and without warning.

Are you sure it's a cold solder joint? Following the foam from the battery over to the main board, it looks like there -might- be a connector that could be pulled to disconnect the unit from battery power for this kind of "reset". I have one of these and have tried all of the button combinations and none work. Guess it's disassemble and attempt to resolder or toss it in the garbage.

the only reason you would redo a joint is due to a break though? i may try this as i have tried everything else but im not sure it will work

removing the battery from the circuit will rest it. worked for me with my specific problem.

*If your speaker won’t charge/won’t turn on, press and hold either the power button or the multifunction button (three dots) and while holding for about 15 seconds, then plug that into your computer/charger.* The Bose should reset. THEN make sure and run Bose updater to upgrade your speaker firmware. DO NOT TAKE APART YOIR SPEAKER!!!!

Mine stopped working until I tried different charging cables and plugs. Some do not have enough voltage.

So I'm more then positive that when I plugged mine in to charge i heard a popping sound and the light went from a fast charging color to nothing and now I can't get it to come back on and of course a checked the charger and have another one I guess my question is I'm assuming I blew a fuse or some circuit board anyone have any experience with that happening to them before I try anything too crazy I haven't tried resetting it with the computer yet that's my next thing I try I just don't currently have my computer with me

I did it and worked like a charm!! bad solder contact quality.... Yeah, WTF Bose !!
