First 2-3 minutes in outdoor testing, Bose has richer, warmer sound (though Soundcore was bass off). Then in indoor testing, I like Soundcore (with Bassup on) over Bose; Bose was a bit compressed at 100% volume, I think. At 70% volume & treble boost on, both was quite similar.

Honestly, I think the tuning is better on the SoundLink until you add in the bass up and treble boost for the Soundcore. At that point, there's greater vocal and mid-range articulation. Well done Soundcore!

I ordered blue Max for $299 thru Amazon (and had a $100 gift card 🤣). Here's my take.... the Max is the closest to hifi sound than any portable speaker I've listened to, the sound is just amazing. But it's not the speaker that I would use as a "party" speaker or a "boombox" outside that you need to cut thru noise or fill a larger outdoor area. I use it in relatively close proximity (living room and smaller, and my hot tub area) and the sound is unmatched for this size speaker. I also listened side by side with Flex and for me there is no comparison. Some reviewers say 2 Flex have an "equivalent" sound, but not to me. If you want a fantastic sound in a relatively small space, this speaker is def worth the $299 price tag and gives you an incredible listening experience. Btw, I don't play over 80% volume or I'd be looking for a diff speaker/application. Hope this helps!

$400 vs $130
@jamesthefirst_81477 ай бұрын
The bose has noticeable distortion at anything above 80% volume, in a $400 speaker, that shouldn't happen. Besides, the boom 2 overpowers it for $130. There definitely will be people who like the bose, amd thats fine however, for me, that price tag is unjustifiable

Yes if you can't afford the Bose, the boom is a solid option
@NoogyMatthews5 ай бұрын
@@bigpatt8372 I wouldn’t necessarily say it’s about not being able to afford it. There plenty of payment options now and days such is pay in 4. It’s whether or not it makes sense for the price. I have both speakers. My gf bought the bose and out of curiously I bought the boom 2. The quality you get in vocals and crispness obviously goes to Bose. But that becomes obsolete when i consider the price point and ability of the boom 2. You’re paying over $400 after taxes for the Bose which is really not ideal for what you get. $250 would be a solid price. To keep it simple, I’ve used the boom 2 more than the Bose simply because it’s louder, has more bass and gives me more of what I want overall when listening to music. I’ve maxed out the boom 2 on multiple genres of music and have yet to hear distortion which is crazy. The max doesn’t play well with the heavy bass music in my opinion. Not that it sounds bad, it just doesn’t give you the umff you’re looking for and I’ve managed to get some distortion at high volume levels. Sure the boom 2 is bigger but also weighs less and I can throw it around anywhere I want without any real fear of damaging it because of its price point and build quality. My gf definitely wasn’t willing to admit that the boom 2 was a better over all speaker than the Bose in a lot of ways. She’s more of a “brand” person at times which I can understand. And I agree with her when it comes the crispness and overall quality of sound and physical build. But she now uses the boom 2 more than the max 🤣, especially during her workout sessions. At least for my purposes, the boom 2 is the winner when considering everything.

What is the comparison of the soundcore x600 vs the Bose Max?

8:05 so i have watched the whole video. My opinion is that it seems you get a lot for the money buying the soundcore boom 2. I think that while the Bose has a deeper sup bass extension by a tiny bit makes it not even worth it to buy it over the soundcore boom 2. Definitely a better treble makes the boom 2 a better choice if you want sup bass and good treble and good mid bass too. But i think the warm sound though could possibly be achieved using wavelet on Android to give it some feeling of warmer tone? But of course this might would hold back the treble? Also for the better deep bass if you want soundcore i think the boom 2 plus would get people covered. But i think its really about what you want? Amazing treble versus a hold back on treble but a more warm sound which likely indicates the Bose has a deeper sup bass extension?

One comment and one question: - I would not call the racetrack driver in the Boom 2 a woofer. It's more like a midrange driver. - What kind of mic was this recorded with? Just because there's almost no audible difference between the two speakers in terms of sense of space. In other tests, it comes out nicely that the Bose has space, while the Boom 2 only sounds midrange.
