Bose mini 1 does not have a side charging outlet. Only method is via the base charger

This is misleading. The title is for mini1 but the idea of software update is for mini2. Is there a way to update mini1?

no problem! For the original charger, you could check out Bose's website or maybe even Amazon? The rating for the original SoundLink Mini charger should be around 12V and 0.833A.

Have you tried a different charger or cable? Sometimes that's all it takes. If it still won’t turn on, it could be the battery or another internal issue. Might be worth reaching out to Bose support or checking if there’s a techy friend who can take a look.

This video is no help for a battery that isn't charging. You cannot connect the Mini 1 to the software updater with a flat battery, which is why people are watching this video in the first place. Also, most of the devices showing in the video are Soundlink Mini 2.

Totally agree, had similar issues with my Mini 2. Honestly, Bose stuff just doesn’t seem worth the hype sometimes. What did you end up doing about it?

For an older model like the SoundLink Mini 1, if it's not charging, try cleaning the charging contacts and using a different USB cable and power source. Sometimes those older connections can get a bit finicky.

​@@hifiaudios8101it doesnt charge via USB at all. Mini 2 charges via usb. Try resetting with long press of mute button. Flashing red after this means battery is gone likly
