A few fun facts about Bosnia and Herzegovina: 1. The potato "burek" you ate in Sarajevo is not called burek actually. It's called krompirusa. "Pita" or a pie is the name for all the cheese or vegetable stuffed pies in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the name "burek" is reserved only for the meat filled pie. 2. The tradition of jumping off the Mostar's old bridge for money collected from the onlookers is almost as old as the bridge itself. An Ottoman Turkish travel writer Evlija Celebija wrote about it in the 16th century on his travels across the Herzegovina. Thank you for visiting Bosnia and Herzegovina. 💙

I like how you keep it real and honest in your vlogs. Karin is definitely keeping the videos alive. Jeremy is so quiet and usually has a frozen smile. Assuming he's very shy or nervous? Still, I enjoy your videos and like that they're not too polished and glamorous, since that's unrealistic for my travel.

“ dig in deep that’s what she said “ that’s funny. I left Bosnia in 1997. when I was 12 years old and in year 2000 I left Europe for US currently living in Potato State. I visit Bosnia every 3-5 years and I always want to try dairy products in Bosnia because it’s 100% organic but I can’t because I am allergic, but one day when I go to Bosnia I will try Bosnian Yogurt I don’t care if I end up in ER. Bosnia and Switzerland are the 2 most beautiful countries in Europe

The all Bosnian food we tried was delicious! Hopefully on your next visit you'll be able to have some of the dairy, it was so good! Thanks for watching!

hey guys ❤ can you tell me whether or not all the flowers are still in bloom in Bosnia throughout October?
@MappingIt6 ай бұрын
We've only been to Bosnia in July, so we're not sure if the flowers will still be in bloom in October. It might depend on what the weather is like and if there's been a lot of rain/cold days. Thanks for watching!

are you guys getting more than 2 weeks off a year for vacation? Seems like you are doing longer trips lately? I'm heading to Hawaii in a week. Can't wait!
@MappingIt Жыл бұрын
When we go on vacations, we usually can only take 1 or 2 weeks off at a time (maybe 3 weeks if we're very luck and save up all our vacation time). Our trip around the Balkans was an epic 2-week adventure across Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia, and Montenegro. Overall, we probably get about 4 weeks off throughout the year when you also factor in paid holidays and such (when we can, we try to plan our vacations around holidays to help stretch our vacation time). We also try to fit in smaller weekend adventures when possible by exploring areas around the US. Hawaii sounds amazing, have a great trip!

Hi, what's your suggestion traveling there in December? Or should I wait for summer
@MappingIt Жыл бұрын
We haven't been to Bosnia in winter, so we're not sure what it's like, but we've seen pictures of Sarajevo surrounded by snow-covered mountains, which looked really pretty, so winter is probably a very nice time to visit. When we visited in summer, it was very hot, so if you don't like the heat, we'd recommend avoiding the summer months. Hope this helps you plan your trip and thanks for watching!

You are a wonderful couple and thank you for visiting my homeland, and I'm really sorry that the wrestlers robbed you of your tickets to the cow waterfall! The ticket price is 20 BAM (10 euros). You should have checked the prices online in advance! Unfortunately, corruption is the biggest symptom of the disease called nationalism in my country! Citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina who consider themselves Croats prefer Croatia and work for their interests, destroying in every possible way the reputation, economy, security, etc. of Bosnia and Herzegovina, because their goal is to destroy the country, and that part that they ethnically cleansed of all those who did not considered themselves Croats, eventually joined Croatia! That's why I recommend all tourists to inform themselves about the prices in advance!
