I feel you with the heat. I did a ride from Canada to Mexico in late August/early September. When I was riding in northern Mexico and back to the US it was CRAZY hot. 122 F when I crossed the border in Mexicali!! The FJR 1300 just hummed along the whole time. I've been looking at your kit and noticed the Quad Lock. I'd definitely recommend getting the vibration dampener for it. I destroyed the camera on my iPhone by keeping it on a non-damped mount on my bars. Just trying to look out for you 😉

Thanks mate, it has one! I took the lever off but the dampener is there. Although later in the trip I end top strapping the phone to the bars with zip ties so can't have been good for the phone haha.

We also have a heat wave a little bit further to east in BG.. 38 every day, above 40 on the tarmac. I was riding my scooter to work and back with a bicycle helmet and shorts.

Out of Schengen, border checks are out and in. In Bosnia, you need insurance is your company doesn't cover the territory (mine didn't). You buy 3rd party insurance at the border for about 10 euro. I am sure most don't bother. Thankfully didn't need it.
