Yes, we felt very lucky to find this block and it was in the same city. We may be selling the 1971 service block. It will need some sleeves in it.

That 70 block will likely have a vin stamp on it from the car it came from although it might not be very visible.To get the D0ZE block it either came in a car or was an early warranty from Ford.The service blocks were all the D1ZE part number like your damaged one.Finding a good DOZE block is extremely lucky!

Yes, we definitely felt lucky to be able to find this one and it was only 25 miles away from us so it was still nice to have it in the same city .

The best Boss 302 blocks are the C8FE blocks. Those were tunnel port engines used in the Trans Am series but the leftovers were used in the 69 boss 302s if you ever find one grab it they have the thickest cylinder walls.

@@lorenzomaximo1818 The C8FE blocks were NOT any better or thicker than the boss 302 blocks that came after.They were all the same 4 bolt main casting and only the casting number itself was different.

Try finding Chevy 302 blocks less common

I would love to do a rare small block Chevy like a DZ 302, but you’re right they’re rare just like the boss.
