Vex killed it the entire show, nay nay, the entire night he killed it. Imagine doing light show after light show all night, yeah it might get a little choppy but holy shit he still delivered creative shit every single show and this one was technical as fuck. Serj was slow and didn't hit his angles up until 4:00min mark then he took off but song was over by then.

44 seconds onward: this is why vex is the goat. “The world will never know.” Lol. True words spoken.

both very good performance but i personaly thought serj won but i rewatched vex and yeah gave it up to vex just for more moves and the fluid and tuts

Not going to take anything from both these talented glovers but,I've seen them throw better shows. Vex's musicality could have been better and serj's angles weren't as clean. I have no problem with tutting in lightshows as long as they're done at the right time and in conjunction with other appropriate moves. in hindsight, if the show is all tutting then it isn't really a lightshow at all is it? skittles said the same thing, "Are we giving lightshows or are we dancing with lights?" Food for thought. P.S. Inb4 anyone thinks I'm bashing anyone

Not a thing wrong with this comment. I don't come from the oldest school, but I'm old school with my gloving. I started about 5 years back. It is about the art, it is about the dance, but first and foremost it's about the light show.

i am right there with you dude, and that is a very insightful quote from skittles for new and old glovers. a good thing to do is practice while imagining the perspective of your audience. itll help you create a show that youd want to see.now going off of what you said i also feel that if you consistently tut throughout your show it can end up feeling less smooth to the viewer. if you cant get your angles just right and your timing down pact throughout it can look a little messy. cool images and patterns can be created by tutting but i feel like if you incorporate more liquid/finger rolling into (at least) your transitions it can be a bit more pleasing to watch. these guys are just so good at the basics that, at this point, they are simply showing off some crazy move they figured out in front of their bathroom mirror lol...but i dont know. maybe if they were giving a show to someone who were new to this it would be more simplistic. really who knows, i was introduced to gloving a while back so maybe i am a little biased on whats more appealing to watch. this is still some crazy high level stuff though. id have to really practice my ass off to ever pull off moves like this. im gunna stick to figure 8's for nao ^_^

Serj's rolls were a little tighter but vex puts on a show

also looks like vex is double jointed almost everywhere on his arms. if true thats a good advantage to have

This was actually not very interesting to watching. I'm not saying they were bad, just not very entertaining. Every move looked jumbled up and such, not so clean imo
