I REALLY hate it when I die to an attack that I have no idea what the game expects me to do. on standard I remember getting hit like 5 times in the cyclone thing and then it was just over, first time on crit i did a better job doging the balls and landed on the ground where i... took damage then died. I didnt realize that you're SUPPOSED to air stall!!!! what a weird boss fight, thanks for the tips!

Another thing: during wayfinder, try to do some magic combos in between the shotlocks, then you can use the elixir to restore both the Focus and MP. This helps with base level runs. Great video Dean!

I just spammed barrier at the part where aqua was tossed into the air, but for the rest I find your guide SO useful! I usually dodge a lot because I always fear barrier won't work but seeing how well it worked for you, I didn't think twice and started practicing. Took me a few tries for the first stage but once I was over it, stage 2 was incredibly easy thanks to your guide ❤

when i did this on critical i only died on stage one because i was learning the patterns of that move where he goes into the ground and attacks from above. once i learnt it the boss was not sweat. as soon as it reached stage 2 i just used elixir and shotlock and killed it in 10 seconds. btw you wanna use elixir straight away when it goes into the ground to go into stage 2 so as soon as it pops out you can shotlock

Did you know that in the first Kingdom Hearts when you fight Rikku/Ansem in the Grand Hall, there's a lazy way to avoid Dark Aura attack: sprint toward the gap between the two control panels until the last segment where he makes a shock wave, then you dodge roll away on first telegraph

Update: I took Demon Tide of critical on my first try. I made a couple of mistakes too, such as not getting enough distance from the tornado and triggering Wayfinder too soon. I did hit the finish the second time it appeared though, and that trick to staying in the air longer was useful, though I messed up on that too. In all, your video was very helpful and I'm glad I found it. Thank you.

I had so much trouble with this one. This was the one boss that halted my progression at the end of my 0.2 run. Not no- damaging phase 3 aqua or darkside, just this one. It would have been SOOO nice to know you could kill it before phase 2, from now on that's gotta be standard
