Did this mod tonight it was a noticable difference. Chorus sounds richer, I had to dial settings back on a quick demo. Thanks for this!

Your welcome! You can change that capacitor in a boss ce2, ce5, ch1 and bf-2 to increase the over all delay time of the modulated effect Chorus is about 20ms Flanger is anywhere from 12ms-1.5ms Increasing the capacitance from 47-68-100 with increase the delay time And lower capacitance of 47-32-10 will decrease the delay time. I’m happy this mod worked for you and that you’re happy with it ! Thanks for watching !

Great video men.. helps me a lot.. thanks.. i have a ce5 pink label.. im going to mod it .. i would like to hear the comparision of the moded ce5 vs the bf2 chorus setting..

The boss bf2 as a chorus sounds like a boss ce-3 and a boss ce2w due to same type the BBD chips. Being the MN3207 & MN301. The boss Ce2 Ch1 & ce5 have the MN3007 & MN3001 chips

Wait, so plugging an unwired jack into output B makes it go square wave? Even on the original? Anyway, great sounding pedal by it's own right, nevermind the slight distortion or the "coldness". It just got a peculiar sound that can be perfect depending on the genre. And anyway, i was searching for a cheap way to have the Jazz Chorus/CE1 warble, i guess this mod makes it closer, but not quite the same. I guess i have to buy another chorus 😂

I made it go vibrato meaning only the pitch modulation comes out of output A when the pedal detects output B is plugged in. The boss ce3 gave you the option for classic stereo chorus (wet dry) and inverted stereo for true stereo but you could choose what stereo option using the rotary switch on the ce3 On the ch1 the output jacks work like switch’s telling the pedal wether to send mono or stereo. But using chorus with only 100% wet vs dry gives you vibrato.

I think this mod decreases the clock fequency of MN3101. So you have more time delay on the MN3007
@Pedalheadshow Жыл бұрын
If you decrease R38 you can compensate for the added delay time.

@@Pedalheadshow So R38 Change the clock frequency?

@@travisbk406 in essence yes.

There are certain tones during the PWM that sound amazing. Is there any way to pause the wave where you like the sound? To have it stop modulating? Like a chorus pause? Or a sweep pot?

Using my Line 6 Helix. I can take a pitch shifting pedal block with a mix of 25%-50%. Then I would increment the pitch block a few cents up. Then in series after or maybe before the pitch shifting block. I would add a short delay. That would do what you are recommending.

And a analog way wouldn’t work cause to do what you’re asking would be the disable the internal clock ic chip. Which would leave you a short delay with your dry signal with no change in pitch.
