The hold function is actually really useful. If you strum a chord and hold it down, the chord will continue to repeat a perfect delay whilst you play lead over the top of it. sounds kinda like you've got 2 guitars going

Thanks for the demo video. I just found a used dd-3 for pretty cheap. It's exactly what I'm looking for. I just wanted a basic, simple delay pedal. I found this helpful.

Another one I'd look at is the Earthquaker Dispatch Master. It's a combo reverb delay that has replaced this pedal on my board over that last few months. I'm posting a demo of it this week so keep an eye out!

The hold function is very usable in my opinion. Not good for licks, but you can hold a chord, and play over it. Just a personal preference thing.

Good Review that’s all in there.put E knob on Middle Position put the F knob on 9 or 10 & D knob on middle ,then Dial in the last Knob on 800 ms ,& Leave it forever that’s all you ever need on DD3 .you can always use the Hold in any Song if you Find it useful.i dont.

Very goog demonstration! i´m in doubt about this one dd 3 and mxr carbon copy; is it true that analog delay makes the battery lower when it´s off but just plugged in the guitar? does it happen with this dd 3? thank you.

My pedal when set on the 800ms is no longer engaging when I depress the pedal. Of course I too live in that range. Works fine in all other settings. Any advice? Just buy a new one? Ugh.

Hey Worship dude....I love Fender, even more I love Fender Telecasters...my Tele is just plain white, white PGuard and all, + Maple neck...but the only thing I dislike about Telecasters is that it is Sooooooo easy to make them look Country/Hick...unfortunately it's the guitar of choice of all the Hillbillies...so I made sure that mine is just plain white so it can look as much Rock n Roll as possible, but not that Hillbillies can't play, they're amazing guitarists some of them, ... the one Bruce uses also looks good but to me (And I don't wanna knock your taste)... but you put an F hole on a Tele and it screams "Hillbilly" also I love the DD-3 the only greater love I have is for Jesus Christ. I just bought a DD-3, and, it seems to add a bunch of bass and, I guess I'd have to call it "Mud" to the sound of my guitars. I've tried both a solid and a hollow body and they both lost a lot of treble with this plugged in. Is that normal?

A thinline Tele with what pickups? And what amp and drive are you using in the first part of the actual demo part? Sounds like a good option for an 'always on' delay.

It's a parts caster. Pups are Seymour Duncan SM-3 Minibucker in the neck which I used for most of the demo, strat pup in the middle and a SD Jerry Donahue in the bridge (awesome match for with the mini bucker btw). Amp is a Vox AC-30 CC2x and the drive is coming from the tube amp until I made note of additional overdrive which was an Ibanez TS-9.

Any tips on how to effectively use this pedal in a church setting? A good buddy of mine sold it to me for $50 because I needed a delay pedal. Changing the tempos on this thing during the service caused noticeable mistakes, and it was a nightmare

+Hayden D I used to just keep my E. Level set to 11:00, Feedback to 1:00 and Delay time to10 or 11:00 with the macro setting on long delays. It adds a lot without getting in the way.

Marcus Pintor Yes but you have to dial it in manually. There is no tap tempo.

You can get dotted eight note delay from any pedal that has a long enough delay time which this has plenty. You simply need to set it manually rather than tapping it in.

I have dd3 and dd7. dd3 sounds more real and have more high-end but the problem is it does not have tap tempo and thats the pain in the ass but dd7 has tap tempo,reverse and small loop thing. it would fit into your board much better.

As an atheist, let me just roll my eyes at this. The fact that he's a worship player means he a) likely plays often b) to reasonable crowd sizes and c) has to learn and/or arrange lots of songs and find sounds that work.
