Boss DD-3 vs DD-6 Digital Delay

I can't find anyone who can tell me what they dislike EXACTLY about the DD6 compared to the 3 besides that they can't figure out warp or reverse. So, in your opinion, what is it that makes everyone say go for the DD3? I am interested in the fidelity of the repeats, not that you can't figure out settings. So what's your opinion? It's hard to totally tell with headphones on a laptop.

They Are very similar, one of the reasons people gravitate towards the DD3 is because the old Japanese DD3's were basically DD2's inside and the DD2 sounds fantastic, the new DD3 doesn't sound as pure, so find yourself a old Made in Japan DD2 and you will have the best delay repeats

+boonexy Hello, well I have both.Away from the history and japanese pedegree of the dd3, this one is better for 2 big reasons, 1 Sound Quality, has more fullness and, the dd6 is more thin....more treble,.2 the dd3 has more volume in the mix area.If you whant to math them, you have to turn way up the mix knob on the dd6, to get even with the dd3.Of course the dd6 has more stuff, but to play live, the dd3 stands up better.Sorry my poor english, im from chile, i hope the comennt will help, bye!

Even through my less than stellar laptop speakers, the dd-6 sounds ever so slightly more shrill. It's subjective, one might prefer a more treble-y sound....but most do not.

@@upside-down6211 dd-3 sounds more natural than the dd-6, but there are some dd-6 batch that sounds good.i bought several dd-6 before and they dont sound the same.one tends to be more shrill which i ended up selling and kept the one that sounded more natural...

The DD3 is awesome with the Keeley loop and hi cut mod. The loop allows you to have only the 2nd, 3rd etc.,..... taps be effected. The high cut gives you a soft or hard clip to the high end resulting in an analog sound. Also you have the original tone; which to my ears is a very musical sounding delay. Buy one. Get the Keeley mod.

I play live with a dd6 . The dd3 is Pretty much the same . Both are great pedals

What about the Warp Drive on the DD-6. It's cool. Otherwise its the same pedal, same circuitry
