Props to the man who was willing to give OP their dog back after finding out what happened. 5 years is way more than enough time to get attached to an animal

Selling the dog for shopping money? What a b**ch! 😢 Shame on her! 5 years is almost half the dog's life! Mad props to the guy for understanding and giving the dog back.
@stevenhirtle70009 ай бұрын
For the story with the dog. Shortly after selling the dog, mom goes shopping and buys herself a bunch of stuff and 2 Hot Wheels for the kid. Sounds like momma wanted shopping money for herself and selling the family dog was an easy way to get money.

Lying kid story: OP isnt mad at the kid, shes mad at her sister being irrational and expecting OP to just be fine with being treated like dirt before sister learned the truth
@Nyghtking9 ай бұрын
Yup, kids are shitty and thats to be expected, what she's mad at is that her sister believed the kid, without any proof, over her, and was willing to get the police involved because of it, refusing to even look at the videos to prove otherwise. I would be pissed at her too.
@princessmarlena13599 ай бұрын
Badly raised kids will cause all kinds of trouble when they can’t have their way. Heck, a friend of mine babysat for her nieces and nephews over the weekend. The kids wanted to go swimming in her in-ground pool but it was covered up for the season (fall). The kids whined and complained but she wouldn’t let them. Next thing she knew, the police were at her door an hour later because “someone” dialed 9-1-1 on her landline in the den and hung up. She had a lot of awkward explaining to do to the police as a result. The kids refused to fess up as to who did it, so she told their parents as they picked them up about what happened, and they trivialized it. Then they got mad when my friend refused to babysit for them ever again.

op should be mad at the sister and the kid.

Nah i'm definitely would be mad at that kid. One thing is lying but that bastard is a potential sociopath. People often confuse bratty behavior with a red flag.

Honestly with the babysitting story I would have told the sister to call the police and I wouldn't have been afraid because the cops upon hearing that their security cameras what asked to see the footage and have these things verified

Story 2: Probably got away with it up to this point because A) police distrust in this part of town (from the description, it's not exactly a wealthy neighborhood), and B) those who know how bad she is, also know how damaging her defamatory comments can be. And then she ran up against someone who was cooperative with police and had actual evidence to counteract her false claims. Further, I'd say the CCTV was necessary here, because without it, there's no evidence showing that she had malicious intent in making the police call--it would likely have been seen as a good-faith attempt to report a crime that just didn't turn up anything. Only with the proof that she had an axe to grind does she get in trouble at all.

Wish she would have gotten theft charges thrown at her, and a civil suit for the pen. Going by that the pen in question is of special quality.

my mom hated my cousin's dog and my cousin was living with grandma at the time. Mom took the dog and dumped it in the middle of nowhere. she said it was fine because there were kids nearby and one of them would take the dog. Acted like there was nothing wrong with what she did even though it is illegal to do

Story 4: “He’s only 7…” and where I live, age 7 is old enough to legally be responsible for their actions and recognized as capable of discerning right from wrong. The lying little monster could have gotten OP arrested. OP is NOT “being mad at a kid”, she is refusing to be a doormat for her irresponsible and improvident sister who uses OP as a free babysitter. The mom is stupid for siding with the sister. There is a reason the sister is still single as a mom. I hope no guy dates her, or the lying brat could make false accusations against him next.

for the babysitting story, I'd have replied "Go ahead and call the cops; I'll let them know that you've got security cameras which will prove my innocence." Then I'd have gone out the front and hopped in my car and waited. The cops would, as per protocol/the law, ask if there's evidence to support the two claims, at which point I'd reply with "Officers, my sister has security cameras which will show that her son refused to eat the dinner I made him, and that his claim of me having a man in the house is false." End of story, the cops would review the footage, see I'm right and go "Well, it's pretty obvious from the footage that OP didn't lie. However, ma'am, for wasting police time, we're going to have to issue you a warning."

lol I like sign writers way of doing business, you can pay for the extra service of checking your signage before being made, or you can chose not to have that service and go with exactly what you order. when not paying for the extra service, the customer is always right and get exactly what they want, spelling mistakes and all.

Bad take on the pen. You shouldnt have to justify why someone can’t steal from you, no matter how smaller it is. The reason doesn’t matter, they said no and she took it anyway, she’s not owed an explanation On the other hand I totally agree about the babysitting. The mother had a way to check the truth, chose not to do it, then did it privately (I guess to have dirt on her sister). She goes back and forth on how honest kids are depending on what’s convenient for her, then when the sister says no she becomes hostile, acting like the sisters in the wrong. Notice how they frame it as her being mad at a kid and how the mother conveniently leaves her actions out of it. She wouldn’t check, threatened her sister with the police (and the lies that kids told them would take a long time to sort out of the video wasnt brought up immediately), then became aggressive when she couldnt get a babysitter. She’s utterly shameless and I hope the mother at least doesn’t know the whole story, if she does she’s one of theirs “siblings should get along” parents who don’t acknowledge that the fault is only on one of them.
