Thank-you for a well prepared for, and informative video (unlike others out there right now). This is a stroke of genius from Boss, not only in product design but in marketing, as it is far less vulnerable to the meteorologic rise of free software and plugins. I expect digitally controlled analogue signal paths will become a new market segment entirely. Very exciting.

Holy Effing Shizzballs the non linear mode around 3:30 in this video is magic. It smears like the mr black deluxe Analog chorus vibrato when you tap in the longer lfo cycles. Sweet sounds

The way I got around the price was to give up 5 pedals on eBay :) I kind of saw it as a swap :) once I made the 450 :) and I am very happy with it! It’s a classic brought into the future! I see it as a Dm-1 and DM-2 on steroids! I have found this pedal to be inspirational, I just keep playing with it! Plugged into an RC-500 (stereo) I love the way it modulates and pans! Plus you get all the oscillating you need! If you want that! I keep using the the doubling delay section! One of my favourites

I wonder how noisy this is? How much white noise at the end of repeats tails?

Since its boss I'm sure they were very conscious of that, probably allowing it to blossom or be appreciated in the vintage mode to honor that clock noisy sound but I don't hear a lot of high end hiss that we might associate with something like the mr. black Analog chorus vibrato - which is magic but a tad hissy, due to opening up the treble so much, it breathes like few others. Nice work on the demo here by the way- just wanted to throw my two cents in that it can't be that noisy, longer delay times would be noisiest but they have so many chips that none are being stretched that far.. I kinda hope they are though because that's where the chips really charm me.

This is the only demo that doesn’t feel like it leans right, did you do anything noteworthy in processing or is the reverb simply smoothing it out that much?

No. The pedal is going direct into the IR-200, into the Gigmaster, into ableton. No post editing.

I prefer guitar in mono personally. Stereo effects on guitar are overrated

@PedalboardoftheDay Since you have used both this and the RE-202, do you think the Multi-head mode makes the RE-202 obsolete?

They’re two completely different machines. RE-202 has reverb, preamp, etc.

Funny to think the DM-101 will be replacing my DM-100 from God knows how many years back. Contrasting the two (101/202) how do you like them personally? Did you end up keeping the RE-202? Lastly I just wanted to say you make killer demos. TBH your demos are both fantastic for my happiness and a bad for my wallet. XD
