How's the tracking? is it still like the roland G55 that has ghost notes?

@ Hi, I’ve only tried the pre-sets so far, and some exploring of the individual sounds. I have found some tracking issues; on some scenes there can be a slight delay, but I have barely explored this instrument so far. There are all sorts of adjustments you can make to adjust the pickup sensitivity on individual strings. Also the guitar I’ve got it installed on still needs fine adjustments, and I think you have to have your guitar set up as perfectly as possible.

Leider funktionier das Tracking nicht sauber genug bei mir. Bei Piano Sounds bekomme ich auf der A und E Saite in der ersten 3-5 Bünden manchmal eine Vorschlagsnote einen Halbton zu hoch! Ich habe meine Oktavreinheit so gut wie möglich eingestellt, habe die Höhe des Gk5 leicht erhöht und verringert und mit der sensibilität rumgespielt. Wenn ich sanft anschlage und mit so wenig kraft wie möglich greife kommt der Fehler seltener vor! Sollte aber garnicht vorkommen. Gerade bei den Dicken Saiten weiß man ja, dass man beim Stimmen einen Moment warten muss, weil sie im ersten moment recht weit ausschlagen, was für eine geringe Verstimmung sorgt. Auch beim Greifen braucht in den ersten Bünden nahe des Sattels etwas mehr Kraft beim greifen. Ich höre aber, dass dabei auf keinen Fall ein Halbton Verstimmung entsteht! Das Gerät trackt hier zu hoch! Da muss nachgebessert werden! Keine ahnung ob es möglich ist, aber gerade in den ersten Bünden der E und A Saiten müsste das Gerät etwas tiefer tracken. Vll nur 1/8 oder 1/6 halbton und vielleicht nur im ersten Moment des Attacks! Das ist leider noch nicht zufrieden stellend. Vielleicht haben auch Saitenstärke, Mensur und so weiter einen Einfluss darauf. Danke für das Video. Vll hast du ja einen Tipp.

Boss devices sound so thin like sound is coming from far far away. The sounds are not present at all. Is it because whole bunch of overtones are missing in each notes. Like there in no high end and low ends at all. People call it compressed sound but i dont understand if compressed sound sound like this.

Por favor, puedes tocar notas con velocidad, ejemplo patch,65, Yo perdí dinero al comprar boss gm 800,perdida de latencia, latencia mala ,notas fantasma, es muy fácil tocar acordes lentos ,pero no notas a bpm 180, esto es un juguete, lento.....tuve que comprar boss sy 1000.

'cause they're mainly showing what people can expect 'out of the box'. You don't really sell a product on what you can do with hours of learning and tweaking. You sell a product on instant gratification.

I hear you, but the 'out of the box' patches just sound horrendous to me. So without my long experience with guitar synths I would never have bought the GM-800 in the first place and I guess other potential buyers aren't that enthusiastic either. @@filmskoolfulci9183

@@filmskoolfulci9183If it hadn‘t been for my 30 years of experience, the GM-800 with its „out of the box“ tones would have remained in the music store. If you have to swamp potential buyers with totally overproduced non usable & cheesy sounds there’s something wrong with your marketing strategy. This is why I think it is the job of the reviewers to dig up and show a bit of the real potential of this great unit.

I didn’t say my sounds are new - I just implied they are good GM-800 sounds, and if you call a reed organ with a Bach Chorale and a Blues on a Rhodes electric piano cheesy then what is the appropriate adjective for all the 80s synth fluff that comes preprogrammed with the the GM?
