Thanks dude. This was exactly what I was looking for! Love this amp so much. For the 2.2kg all wireless its amazing That being said its no replacement for a "real" amp. But for practice in small rooms or jamming outside. It truly inspire me to play more often If you think its expensive. Well for half the price you get better sound but this is an extremly funny toy for a guitar player. And I do love toys. I recommend it alot to beginners or anyone who allready got a good amp. Take it for wharit is

Hey when you did acoustic with steel string, did you mean that you plugged in an acoustic guitar? Cause on mine when I press the panel button with my acoustic guitar plugged in. It does not work unless I press the Ch A or Ch B buttons

Thanks for the video! It’s nice to see someone actually work with the amp to get different sounds instead of just covering the base settings. Expanding on it further would be appreciated! I actually own this amp, but every time I mess with the controls, it sounds like crap. More practice would certainly solve that, but I usually just leave it on a pretty clean setting (which is pretty indeed) for quick practice. The amp has potential, but it’s nice to have somebody help unlock it!
@MrBillinchar6 жыл бұрын
I have this amp as well. I like all the sounds you can get with the panel. But the software is mobile only and it seems harder to change the settings vs the PC version. I wish Boss would enable the amp to be controlled by the PC version of Boss Tone Studio.

Can you connect the Air's Headphone/Rec Out jack to a stereo PA for live performance? Couldn't you plug a "stereo mini to a dual mono Y cable" to the PA's inputs? Or even to a mono amp using just one side of the mono plugs?

08/03/2022 Sounds good thank you. If you are looking for a Bluetooth pedal that can control the Katana Air, here is something to clarify: When switching the sounds, the Xsonic Airstep BW needs up to 1 second to switch from clean to lead sound, that's too long for me personally! The Airstep Update App does not work stably on Android either! The update keeps failing!!! I can only recommend the Airstep BW if you accept that the switching time is 1 second until the Katana Air is switched! The problem is not with the amp but with the Xsonic Airstep BW Bluetooth controller pedal. And the Boss Katana Librarian App doesn't support the Katana Air!!! Question for you musicians: Have any of you tested the Boss EV-1-WL with Boss FS6 or FS-7 and what is the switching time until the Katana Air is switched? Thank you for your willingness to help. (guitar teacher and repair service) good thank you!

I think it's hilarious that the non crunch distortion is called Brown. Brown was never the color I though of with distortion tones really and brown is not a Scorpio color. I have a hollow body with a redish and orangish brown cognac burst, but I would never get a full borwn one ahah. I know lots of fret boards are brown... oh well, that's how guitar just is ahaha. The fret board colors on guitars never really bothered me as much as some colors on some bodies.

Actually Brown is the engineer's name that designed the Peavey 5150 made famous by Eddie Van Halen. This particular tone is refered to as the Brown sound.

It's a good portable amp it just doesn't come close to the Yamaha THR models
@marike11006 жыл бұрын
To my ears, the Katana Air sounds better than the THR. The stereo reverb gives the impression that the Yamaha sounds better than it actually does. The Katana has more sparkly clear cleans and more modern sounding high gain sounds. Both good practice amps, but I'd choose the Katana. Even the $99 Katana Mini more than holds its own against the THR.
