It also is a wise business decision. You don’t want to invest in someone and then later have to force them to do their job. It’s also a kindness to the child. If it’s not the child’s personal desire, all sorts of emotional burdens will be on the child (trying to please parents, etc) and they are not equipped to handle it emotionally. Modeling and the entertainment business is a cutthroat industry, in some respects.

@@arianamrowe For me, the child first need to be able to communicate then they can pursue their passion. In a way their should be a limit but it's not even that big of a limit since there are kids who can speak fluently by the age of 3 like my cousin (she is now 6) but then her younger brother is 3 now but he doesn't communicate as well as she does when she was his age. Each child is different but the most important is definitely communication for me. They can keep their passion as a hobby before they hop on it.

Model life is hard even harder for no name models. Barely any money without recognition. No name models pay you like gig workers and thats if you pass an audition just to take a few photos and hope one day some model agency or product brands call you for an audition that gets you a high paying salary. Modeling should always be a gig work and side job until you land a huge contract. If you just relay solely on it ... every single day trying out auditions to try to land a model gig to pay bills then your screw. I have a few friends that did those audition and told me about it.

They would spend hours waiting to audition, alot of times cramped in hallways on the floor. Just to walk into a room for a mean European woman to look at you for half a minute. Modeling was one of my dreams and passion since I was a kid. I would watch a lot of fashion runways, especially Naomi Campbell's. I would do a runway walk across the living room and really imagine myself on a real runway. Many people told me I look pretty and would be good at modelling, but as I was growing up, I had a lot of anxieties, insecurities, self doubt, and low self esteem. So I decided to give up on that dream and now I'm pursuing a different career which I'm still not sure if it is really what I want to do in life... Seeing these young girls go towards their dream to model makes me happy and sorry at the same time. I'm happy for them and feel inspired or motivated, but at the same time, I feel sorry for myself, for giving up and not trying.

Hello, I wanted to tell you that you should never give up. I, like you, grew up with a lot of anxieties, insecurities, self doubt, and low self esteem. I was even picked on by the "popular" kids growing up, because I was different. Even now, I still struggle with confidence. I didn't have supportive parents either, so I didn't get the head start that I wanted. I have been told "no" many times. Been told I am too old, or even I am too fat by companies. But I just keep going. I can't stop. We didn't have a choice coming into this world, but nonethless we are here, and life is short. So we must try. We must go for it. No matter how many times we are told no, we must still keep trying. That's all we can do. So please don't give up.
