Nice video. Could you connect two amp heads to the A & B signals and connect the output to a cabinet with one speaker? This way switching between amp A and amp B or mix both but using one single cabinet?
@sweetwater4 ай бұрын
Hi, javiermelladomusica. The LS2 is not designed to take the signal coming off of an amplifier. It doesn’t act as a load box so doing this would likely damage your amps. To use two heads with one cab, you would need something like the Radial Headbone: www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/Headbone Thanks for your interest! Hmm. Stale comment since this is a super old video, but pretty sure there's no need to "dead patch" the loops. You can use the boost on a loop as song as it's selected, even if you have nothing plugged into or out of the loop.

I still don't get it that professionals don't manage to make a decent script wherein also the camera to be used is planned. That would not lead to the speaker looking in the wrong camera. As a spectator, this is awkward at least.
@davidhunt65083 жыл бұрын
I use this purely in the A/B function to change paths to two different inputs on the console(sound board). That way I can use it for two different instruments(such as guitar and bass, or guitar and mandolin) which are eq'd differently but I still want to use my same tuner pedal(or other stomp boxes).
@tavofo9511 ай бұрын
I’m interested on this. My idea is to have the chance of changing between electric bass and upright bass. Without too much time waste, how much did it worked for you?
@davidhunt650811 ай бұрын
@@tavofo95 It works pretty well for guitar to bass, because I use the tuner pedal as a mute. Then I simply unplug the 1/4" cable from one instrument, replug, change the a/b switch pedal, unmute, and I'm good to go. In your case, if the cable and the pickup for your upright are one in the same(ie. aftermarket bridge/surface pickup), then you'd be changing connections at the pedal and not the instrument. It would still be about the same procedure, however you could get it to the point where you weren't doing any unplugging if you had two a/b switch pedals. You could put one at the beginning, and then one after the shared pedals(such as tuner). You'd just have to make sure to remember to have both pedals in either a, or b at all times.

@@davidhunt6508 Amazing! Thank you so much!
@davidhunt650811 ай бұрын
@@tavofo95 Ignore the last couple sentences in my previous reply. My idea with 2 a/b pedals would only make sense if the pedals had a reverse option which I don't believe is possible. If it were then you could go from multiple inputs to one output, but as is I believe you can only go one input to 2 outputs.

Can I use this to split my guitar so that I can add chorus to my delay pedal, but also have my guitar signal unaffected by the chorus? I just want to modulate the delay, not my guitar.
@JessieThorne8866 жыл бұрын
Yes, you can do exactly that. You just use a cable from the Send A to your delay, then from delay to chorus, and from chorus back into Receive A. The guitar is plugged into Input and a cable from Output to your amp. The pedal should be set to "A+B MIX", which is a bit confusing, but when only loop A is used, B becomes your clean signal. I use it to apply an overdrive to only my delay, but not to my clean sound, which gives a nice lo-fi sounding delay.

Is it possible to use this pedal to create a sort of wet/dry? Having one loop with the wet and the other with the dry all running into one amp?
@mandrilo436 жыл бұрын
yes you can,but this is not a wet dry system,is more like an external loop efffect,to aloows you to mix the dry signal with the wet signal at the level that yoiu want. To make a really wet dry system you have to use the ls2 to mix the signals of two amps sounding toghether,so in that case you can preserve very dry the tone of your "main amp" and use the other amp to do the modulation thing and win in clarity sound . Im trying to say that is not a wet dry system if at the end of the chain you are only going out through one amp.

Let say on A I have high gain distortion/fuzz and in B I have an overdrive. Now what I want to do is create presets for different tones by mixing A and B. Is there any pedal has option to save different mix presets.

Hi, Tortilla Man. You can use the pedal like that, although it is not its main function. The LS-2 was mostly meant for toggling between two different signal chains. If the goal is to have a true ABY function, you might want to check out the Radial Bigshot ABY. The JHS Buffered Splitter would also work if you don't need to A/B between the signals.
