@@whynottalklikeapirat perhaps by the standards of fools and children. at the time, this was the best on the planet, and in many ways, still is. no digital modeling baloney. just simple, toneful effects that do what they should. for the time it was released, probably way before you were likely even born, it was game changing.

@@Luteplay me 10 did more stuff, but didn't sound anywhere near as good, and had digital aliasing noise issues due to the plastic case construction. the maxon didn't have the effects loop nor the versatility of the me5. i've had all of them. i still have 5 me5's. the other stuff has been gone for years.

@@666pinkster BOSS ME-10 has a heavy and very strong metal construction, the heaviest multi-pedal in the world. You are mistaken, I have two ME-10 non-working, due to faulty SMD electrolytic capacitors of very poor quality (Then it was an innovation). They leak out and spoil the printed circuit board, so 99% of the ME-10 in the world are faulty. I have BE-5 ME-10 ME-6 ME-8 Maxon PUE-5, PS3,PT5 KORG PME-40X ARIA APE-1 and more. I used to make guitar pedals myself from the age of 12 (wah-wah _two germanium transistors schematics)and understand a lot about the subject, I bought almost all my guitar equipment not working and repaired it all Maxon sounds much better than Boss !!!

Boi Mesa you can load and save patches via midi - I'd also like to know what else they could be used for, I ended up with two!

@@d__g615 you can Auto patch change via a DAW so that the patches change faster than the foot pedal combinations. This is useful if live you have more than 4 patches requiring access. boss-pedals.jimdofree.com/

He's using the remote out to loop in the octaver. It's a separate unit, he's just showing the functionality of it with non-MIDI rackmounts.
