In this video you mention that you would demo how the Me 80 connects to a computer for recording. Do you know what video that would be in? Thanks!

Hi massive. first very much obliged for answering so soon!!!!. I just can't get it right with the CTL button on the ME 80. when I follow the manual and try to set it, and then press the write button it changes the whole patch. example my patch is clean with a little od. and I need a solo sound raise volume or add chorus in the CTL. but in the end I only get to change the whole patch. I am a follower of you here because your clarity for speaking and commenting in your channel. and also great guitar playing. Saludos from Argentina!!

I've used it ....trick #1...stick 1/8plug in headphone jack and it engages speaker sim. Then it sounds killer sent into daw interface or through line 6 l2t speakers (or any frfr speaker)like I did. (Used metal preset w/ the overdrive of unit like tube screamer metal settings..drive at 0,tone in the middle and level all the way up.....shred city!...did a few vids on it

Hi massivebeatzz, You mentioned the 9v Adaptor, do you think this adaptor will work for this unit? here's the info: INPUT: 100-240V-50/60HZ OUTPUT: +9V ---1.5A MAX. OUTPUT POWER: 13.5W + 0 - your help would be appreciated Many thanks!

chrisptad2010 compare it to any generic guitar pedal 9V adapter. such as this one: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00YA7IYHU?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creativeASIN=B00YA7IYHU&linkCode=xm2&tag=techr040-20

Did you record this direct via an audio interface. Mind sharing which one. Thanks.
@massivebeatzz
@massivebeatzz 2 жыл бұрын
I actually used the built in audio interface that the ME-80 has. So, connected to computer via USB. Works great. That way, we are removing an extra step / digital / audio conversion.

Can you explaine why you prefer batteries over the adapter? Like who wants to change batteries every 7 or so hours when you can use a adapter cable that will never need to be changed? If there's a reason for this I'd really like to know.
@massivebeatzz
@massivebeatzz 3 жыл бұрын
great question. In case you have hum/noise coming from your electrical outlets (ground issues) etc. Many folks at home have that issue. That being said - of course I like to use the adapter for day to day practice. But when I record, I switch to batteries. I have rechargeable batteries in there and they last a long time. Once you plug back in, it switches to adapter. Also, if you play live - it is one less outlet to worry about. So all in all, it' s a great option to have.
@gavinsnyder5627
@gavinsnyder5627 3 жыл бұрын
@@massivebeatzz i get that it's nice to have the option, but unless you have rechargeable batteries it would coast you a fortune. (If you play a decent amount of time)Even with rechargeable batteries it would get annoying to have to change them all the time. Other than recording or for sake of convenience playing live, just seems pointless to me. I just found it odd that you made it seem like your primary way to power the pedal in your video. I used to have the me-50 and always just used the boss adapter. Which I do get sometimes playing with people and such, outlets can be scarce. But I just got the me-80 and was curious to why you mentioned that. Also, not a bad video, but I'd recommend two things. One being, take more time showing the features them selves in action. Many people look to reviews before buying and a demonstration goes a long way. (Especially to new players who might not know what certain terms mean) Two being, make sure when you're talking about a certain aspect of the pedal you make it visible. There was atleast one time in this video you were talking about something (I think it was the preamp) and you literally couldn't see most of it. Try looking straight down at the pedal rather than on an angle. I hope my feedback is utilized and not taken personally. Thanks!

For playing those odd gigs where the power sucks, or have no outlets on the stage, or you are doing multiple bands on the same stage and want it as simple as possible.....But as a long term solution, yes, batteries are not a great option. although some STILL insist on using them as they "sound better" ie (Eric Johnson, Jake E Lee)

This is pretty awesome but I have one very important question- are these recordings in this video recorded through software via USB or directly linked to the computer in general? Or did you mic an amp? I'm just curious as to how good the sound quality will be when I plug it directly into my Macbook Pro and record straight through it. I don't have a good amp so Mic'ing an amp is pretty much out of the question for me, so is the guitar playing in this video done so via USB? If so, it sounds pretty great and I'll probably be getting one!
@massivebeatzz
@massivebeatzz 9 жыл бұрын
+James Knight James, what you hear is my guitars straight into the ME-80, which then sends the sound via USB to the computer, where it gets recorded. That means no additional D/A and A/D conversion is done. You can also record a second track at the same time WITHOUT and effects or preamp. You can then use the ME-80 or software plug-ins or another processor to get another sound. That' s pretty neat. That way you don't have to decide on that perfect sound - and fiddle with it later! Hope this helps.

Hey am starting out on guitar and was wondering what's the different between this and like the line 6 HD500x and which one is better do you think??
@massivebeatzz
@massivebeatzz 10 жыл бұрын
Stephen Whitney as a beginner, definitely the ME-80 ! The HD500X is bigger, has more sounds - it's awesome! But with the ME-80 you learn how to operate standard effect pedals, at least to some degree. It's not just happening on an LCD screen. It's real buttons, laid out like a pedal board. That's the way to get the "feeling" for what you are doing...how little changes can affect your sound. That's not going to happen by dabbling around on a Super Computer (like the HD500X). I can't say it often enough - "feeling the music, the instrument , the sound tool- " is so important! Besides, the ME-80 already has so many tricks up it's sleeve - its pretty awesome. The HD500X is awesome, sounds awesome, the dynamic range is top notch - but too much - keep it straightforward!

I`m using two amps, exactly the same amps, and I tried flanger, no panning effect. It doesn`t have any other panning effect, so...................what`s the meaning of having two outs for two amps, if there is no stereo modeling, or other left to right switching effect, ............... If anybody have the key to do it, i will appreciate some help, but i start thinking it`s one point against this machine. Even though i love the manual mode and other features like the duplicated modeling effects, and other bunch of things. May be only my unit, i don`t know. But if you give a look to the list of effects, there is no stereo chorus, flanger, or pan, or pan delay, or ping-pong delay. That is the point. I think it`s not stereo at all.
