The Boss OC3 octave pedal and octave pedals in general are very much in vogue these days. Gary Clinton from GMI gives a run down and demonstration on this must have pedal which is usually not at the top of the shopping list...though it should be!

To follow up on the polyphonic mode you can select the frequency range that the octave pedal will double, ie you can play unaffected guitar lines in the range not covered by the frequency choice.

Polyphonic means you can play more than one note at a time, no one would plug a Bass and as guitar in it at same time.

Should have plugged in a bass . I’m a looping musician and would use this to simulate bass. Could have touched on that. Hope you can take critique thanks for posting
