A couple weeks ago I decided it was time to add some drive pedals (I was getting lazy playing out of my DAW). I bought 4 cheap clones of various pedals that added up to about $180. They all had raving reviews on Amazon, & they all sucked so bad that I immediately returned them. I accidentally got my return in credit, so I had to spend it on Amazon, that's when I realized how stupid I'd been, spent another $100 w/tax, & now I have this unbelievable pedal, that is easily the best drive I've ever owned. Buy this thing.

I'm a year into owning mine. I've done it all accept getting an expression pedal. That's next after I pair this with the new Walrus ACS-1 and replace my DD500 and RV500 with a Source Audio Collider. That will enable me to literally get rid of 5 pedal. This pedal is the best OD pedal ive ever owned. (35 years in the pedal game)
@austinfailz3 жыл бұрын
Thinking of getting an OD-200 and EQ-200, with the EQ-200 setup with the OD-200 between the two EQ channels. The second EQ channel would be used as a cab sim, essentially, and the first EQ as sort of a shaper similar to a Tube Scream / SD-1.

I've had mine for about 2 weeks now. It is way better than I ever thought it would be. I have owned so many damn high end dirt pedals. Excellent production demonstration of this tool. Boss touts the pedal’s software that makes it more tactile and tubelike-and we all know what that feel is, whether we can describe it or not. As someone who has been hands-on with this pedal for some time, did you find that to be true? You mentioned that the Fat Distortion “felt good.” Was that true of all or most of the available sounds? Or was it mostly that kind of numb digital experience that has plagued most of its digital forebears? If they put some genuine feel into the OD-200....they can have my money.

Hi Leon great video. I just picked one of these up and I have to say I am loving the tones. It might be just me but one big flaw I have discovered centres around the editing of the presets that you create. There seems to be no way of editing them. When you recall a preset you cannot “see” the settings you have applied. The only work around I can see is to actually write down the settings you make in manual mode before you save them and then re-dial these in again in manual when you want to tweak a setting...I hope it’s just me because this is a BIG flaw...
@LeonTodd4 жыл бұрын
Yep, I feel you right there. You either have to use it as "set and forget" with presets or "knobs only".
@belicosebumpkin4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the reply mate. Just out of curiosity, do you know if the other 200 series pedal presets are like this?
@LeonTodd4 жыл бұрын
@@belicosebumpkin pretty much the same format.
@geespar14 жыл бұрын
Are you saying you can’t edit the presets and then permanently store them?
@belicosebumpkin4 жыл бұрын
@@geespar1 Yes, editing/tweaking a preset is not an option as you can't tell what settings you used because they don't appear on the display when you go to edit. They should have done a Strymon type system where you turn the knobs until you get a green light and you know what the parameters were when saved. I like this pedal but that is a big letdown. I have an old DD20 and it is the same with presets. You would have thought Boss could have fixed this in 15 odd years...

Dont laugh but I bought a digitech df-7 factory Pedal instead of the Roland od 200! The digitech burns down walls for me!
