Great video! But no matter what I do, the "track level 2" or "memory level 2" does not work with my boss expression pedal. Any advice to get expression to simply volume from 0 - 100 ? Only TRK Level 1 works which is ALWAYS volume from 0 -200. Super frustrating. Thx ahead.

Is it possible to do silent clear without the external switch? Can you clear from playing or recording mode, without stopping first?

You can clear a loop while its playing if you long press the foot switch for about two seconds. Still not ideal. There is no way to instantly clear without an ext controller which is the biggest weakness of the RC-5 imo.

I plugged in my expression pedal to control the tempo. It changes the tempo faster or slower , but has only one setting, not changing tempo gradually, and there is no return once the tempo has changed. Is something wrong with this? is it possible to plug in both dual footswitch and expression pedal? If I can only plug in one of them, perhaps I can clear the track after using the expression pedal to turn the volume to 0. Then you won't hear the annoying playing of the loop before the track can be cleared, right? I'd like to set the loop volume softer, so I can play louder on top of it. You have mentioned that using the expression pedal and track Level 2, you can set the volume range only up to the preset level. But how does it work if I am playing/looping live and not using saved preset track?

Does this ONLY work with Boss footswitches? Or can I hook up, say, the channel changing footswitch from my amp and use it to control this pedal? (It's a Hotrod Deluxe... so I NEVER actually use the dirty channel).

Is there a way to play a click track while a loop is playing? I am trying to send my loops to a mixer and speakers, and a click track through a pair of headphones so the drummer can hear the click track in one ear.

The RC-5 is broke in regards to external controls. I have a little midi pedal hooked up and the options in the midi controls for Rhythm Fill or Variation Change but they don’t do anything or when you get the Variation to change it won’t change back. So I thought hey I’ll just get a normal footswitch but it turns out half the controls are taken away for the footswitch operation as opposed to midi.

Hi, may I ask if its possible to assign an FS7 differently per memory on RC5? for example in memory 1, I want to assign FS7 as my Tap Tempo(A) and Rhythm on/off (B) and on the other memory, I want to assign FS7 as Play/Stop(A) and Undo/Redo (B)? Would it be possible?

1 question here! Let’s say I set the footswitch to “MEMORY INC”. If I’m playing memory01 then press that footswitch (so it changes to memory02), will it continuously play memory02 right away? Or I have to press the pedal again to play that memory02 loop? If it plays right away, I could use memory01 as the verse section, and memory02 as the chorus section. This is a killer feature for me and I can’t see anyone demo it. I really wanna know if it works before buying the RC-5 + footswitch combo. You said something similar at 10:20 minute mark, but didn’t demo that after. Thanks in advance!

Hi, I’m not familiar with loopers and stuff! But taking now lessons from a teacher.. and he uses an looper a lot! For showing the exercises. But he uses an boss ME50. I think this looper will work perfectly! I own a boss katana MKII 100 combo amp.. can somebody tell me how to set it up the best way with my guitar? I have no external pedals or something!
