Same here on the use but then I started listening to Estas Tonne and how he utilizes it in his music. Open up another world of ideas. Thank you for this video

Hi friend. Great work. Thanks. Do you now if this pedal is digital or analogic?

I forgot I had one of these, they were so fun but I always struggle to find a good use in them in a live setting.

I feel like having a underlaying pulsing rhythm during a more exciting part of the song really accentuate that "hype-iness"!
@RobertNolan3 жыл бұрын
@@wazu1 that's exactly what I used it for except live was so difficult due to not playing to a click track. I would get mixed results with some success but only if I used it in latching mode - so it starts on the 1 when I step and hold - but it only works if the drummer keeps the beat correct.
@wazu13 жыл бұрын
@@RobertNolan it is very rhythm driven so communication with the drummer will be very important! me myself im not much of a band guy so everything is synced up with the help of my trusty laptop haha

@@wazu1 yeah it's perfect for that, especially with midi clocking

I heard of someone using one to recreate some Who songs on the keyboard. It would be perfect for "won't get fooled again" and a phaser pedal can give it that sweeping sound if you could possibly get the sweep slow enough

Just curious if it is possible to get traditional tremolo sounds from the Slicer?
@wazu13 жыл бұрын
Absolutely, the attack and duty knobs allow you to get pretty close to a standard tremolo But it's not the same principle of tremolo pedals, so its pretty hard to get that tube-like warmth from the Slicer

Between this original SL20 and the new SL200 which one is better ???
@daveps2342 жыл бұрын
is there any other affordable pedal that has the basic(rate) slicer effect like zoom muti effects?
@wazu12 жыл бұрын
I believe the MD-500 or MD-200 also has the slicer algorithms built in

BANK 2 PATTERN 7!!!! The intro effect for Second Soul by Disco Ensemble, I need to figure out how to get that on the SL-2 Slicer

I would imagine Techno has something to do with the inflated value.I have one still in the box,can't figure out when/how to use it live.I toyed around with it for awhile;then,like a little kid that gets tired of a toy,I put it away.

I'd buy it off you if you have the box man

@@scramblesthedeathdealer Sorry,I sold it to local dealer who buys all my music stuff.I ONLY sold it cuz accidentally left batteries in it(like a MORON!🤪haha!),they exploded!😳.Fortunately,the unit wasn't affected,but I was turned off.He gave me enough $$ for it.

I’m not sure but BOSS did just come out with a SL-2, which is this but with more features and at a very affordable price!

@@wazu1 does it actually have more? It looked like a kinda smaller version

The Tantra VST will do it. I have both the SL-20 and the plug-in. I prefer the interface of version 1 instead of the slicker looking Tantra 2.
