My new Boss Snowrator and all the options finally came in after waiting 3 months. Due to demand and production issues Boss finally delivered the goods. I added the exactpath drop spreader. Now lets see what all the fuss is about.

I'm kinda jealous your buying all the equipment i'm hoping to buy in my future snow removal business but it takes time but i would suggest looking into purchasing a Ventrac if you don't want to be exposed to the elements of winter while your doing your sidewalks. Ventrac's also articulate like your cat front end loader dose but please keep on posting videos can't believe you haven't got any snow yet iv'e plowed so many times in upstate NH,VT.
@SnowBoss
@SnowBoss 4 жыл бұрын
@Daryl Brooks Thanks for watching & commenting. I did look at the Ventrac's and unfortunately it was not the right sized machine, it was too big for my application. Also they are almost $40,000 😱. I only paid $14,000 for the snowrator.

It works great with snow. The only drawback using it in the winter is the operator is exposed to the elements and it gets brutally cold.

You must b scaring the snow away with all the new equipment! ❄ 😅 Looks like some thought has gone into design of that Snowrator, and that is an ideal site to make use of it. Hopefully they have built a quality unit for what it costs.

Why did you upgrade to the poly blade? Thanks for the cool info videos!

Sure, the metal edge on concrete leaves the rust streaks and the customer requires poly edges on the sidewalks. Good question 👍.

Xristo, that thing is Stupid Dope Fresh Bud!! Man oh man, it has so many features!! You can run granular in it and do spot treatment with the wand!! One of the coolest things I've seen. Now you just need some mad Xioni to put it in action!! Hoping all is well, Dirty Jersey out!!Oh, P.S. How about wiring in heated hand grips on the handles. You can prob. use ATV style heated grips and use tape wrap to cover them up onto the handles. Prob. real simple to wire in also. Just my 2 cents Bud.

How has this unit performed this year? I know its primary is for sidewalks but can it handle smaller residential driveways? Single drive upwards of 60-70 feet? I'd hate to spend $15K and it not be useful. I like the idea of the Snowrator over a four wheeler because of the zero turn and no forward/reverse and or 3 point turns. Thanks in advance.
@SnowBoss

We like it. It does mostly sidewalks but they also use it around the warehouse for curb cleanup and dock cleanouts
@thomasmulvihill6959

What type of production rate are you getting with this unit both for pre treat and plowing? I’m looking at getting one but am curious of the production rate so I can effectively plan for this season
@SnowBoss
@SnowBoss 2 жыл бұрын
For pre-treat we get about 10,000 sf out of the liquid tank and we can do 2,000 LF x 5' wide sidewalks in about 20 min. For plowing, it all depends. Anything over 6" at a time and it starts to struggle. But if would say it takes about an hour for that same 10,000sf. But there are a lot of variables at each site.

Are you still using the Ally RTU? I just got a snowrator and have never used liquid before. Looking for tips and what you thought about pre treatment of your walks. My contract is seasonal priced.
@SnowBoss

Yes we still use the Ally. It works for pre treatment and then we use CMA salt in the drop spreader as post treatment.

I'm afraid to go into debt this much but I could take care of A few good customers. I wont make what it cost at first but maybe I'll pick up a few driveways to do that.
