You know, I just came across your interview with Jim yesterday and while listening to your conversation I was convinced to buy a choke and some steel loads. I guess I'm gonna be buying another choke in a couple days! I can't wait to try out these things!

A great idea but there are so many steel shells out there you still need to pattern your own gun before heading out. I shoot my Browning A5 with a Browning imp/cyl extended choke and it patterns well with ANY steel cartridges for decoying ducks; with an after market 1/4 choke, made here in England, for geese

Yes. Decoy is 35 yards. Passing is 50 yards and ufo is crazy!!

What is this choke for though? 20 yards 40 yards? Is the constriction closer to modified or cylinder or improved modified? I know it’s choke tube but what kind of choke tube!?

BOSS requires tight restriction for a good 40 yard pattern. So, probably between full and extra full. However, for that good 40 yard pattern you are looking a almost a softball sized at 20 yards.

All relative to nominal bore diameter. Constriction is only the amount of co striction off that particular weapon model. A mossberg 500 has an entirely different bore dia than a benelli sbe3.

Constrictions range depending on the choke series. WC/ Legacy is closer to passing, Steel Reserve is closer to decoy and Wolfram is in between.
