@@dabaruknemuhar1981 biggest flaw with ragnorak was it's final bosses imo. Thor was good but nowhere near what it should've been, and Odin was pretty basic in terms of traveling the arena and such. I really expected kratos to God completely insane in both fights, going completely berserker oh Thor and even lifting his hammer and smashing it into him a few times. It's only until Thor is a pulp that he stops, and Thor can barely stand. Odin would still kill him though. As for Odin, I've got nothing

There are some interesting parallels between God of War 1 and God of War: Ragnarok. Maybe Zeus treated Ares like Odin treated Thor: belittling him and using him as his rabid attack dog. That's probably why Ares threw these tantrums, he thought he'd gain Zeus' attention and respect. Instead, Zeus simply replaced him. Little did he know, he'd be killed by the replacement god of war because of all the bad blood Zeus had instigated. Not unlike Odin. And thus, Kratos is always the odd piece, whenever prophecies dictate a specific ending and someone tries to tamper with destiny and change it, Kratos assumes the part that was snuffed out, completes the prophecy but in a way that is far worse for the one who tried to control it than it would have been originally. Zeus and Odin tried to control destiny. Kratos inadvertently, unknowingly, punished them for it, completed the prophecies but in a way that completely broke the cycle and brought about a completely new age, one clean of gods obsessed with control.

They do it through out all the gameplay we the players experience through out the hardships before Kratos. Especially on the hardest diffculty. And if God of War 1 was not hard enough there are two games before it. Ascension and Chains of Olympus. Meh, I played it in March 2005 when it was released. The graphics were fine, but I wouldn't say they were AMAZING. Especially outside pre-rendered cutscenes, like in this video. Metroid Prime came out 3 years earlier and looked way better IMO. Let alone PC games from the time like Half-Life 2.
