Hey, just wanted to say that this video is absolutely amazing for players like me who were afraid to take the plunge into pvm even though I personally have juiced gear but no experience as well, and seeing someone who was experienced use relatively budget gear meant that to scale: I could do the content with even better gear. I have recently been just chunking away at NM Kerapac and my gp gains from PvM have been nothing short of skyrocketing and I'm pretty much prepped for Necromancy. Hope to see your guides on it in the future and to anyone who wants to get into PvM: Go for it! The powercreep in current Runescape is absolutely insane and content hasn't been more doable in ages.

Great vid. This is an example that knowledge is power, even when using revolution. Knowing what abilities do and when can greatly improve dps for 0gp. I personally think BiS isnt needed for 95% of pvm. Some decent t85-90 combo and knowing how to use abilities/knowing boss mechanics can take you very far.

Absoloutely came at 43 minutes. Havent watched yet but i just wanna thank you for making this video. I always pvmed in t70 shitgear untill i got most of my weapon upgrades, and swapped to better gear. Always thought someone should make a series like this or at least one video showcasing so people start believing in themselves. A lot of players think you need endgame gear for practically anything slighty challenging. I would make videos, but my computer is too bad for video making it gets HELLA laggy. But again Im so hyped someone showed this!! So thankful!!

Just for anybody reading. I melee everything and just the other week i thought lets see how raksha is with no gear, so i took everything off except for jaws of the abyss. I still managed to hit a poolskip on phase 2 first try, and my killtime was surprisingly almost the same as it is usually with armor. Armor is super overrated.

I use the sub-reddit, I had criticisms on the last video (that I relayed constructively IMO)...I'm also a multi-month sub to Rheyo on twitch, I don't know everything about the game and I am hundreds of kills deep into my core grind at glacor which I would love to be afk. Maybe youtube is just that kind of echo chamber where shills for the creator who think they know everything about another community come out, because they'd much rather be a jerk regarding people they don't even know. Great video. Zuk is like, a massive barrier for me right now. All my gear is pretty much 85-87 with some 90s. I also generally use 2h set ups over dual wield. So with budget gear, and very little PvM experience (hardest boss I've solo'd is Vindicta, and even that was rough), seemed like I'd never get those capes that I want sooo badly. Seeing it done though motivates me a lot to try again next time I play RS, so thanks!

Good luck dude, Zuk took me a while to warm up to. Once you get the cape it takes a ton of pressure off your shoulders, it doesn't feel as "be all end all" the second time around, if that makes sense. Keep pushing through the struggles and you'll get it!

I wish i saw this guide sooner, spent the last 3 days trying ot kill zuk, and kept dying to triple Jads, (I only melee) i just couldnt figure out where to stand, sometimes i would get 1 at the time, sometiems 2, and sometimes all of them attacking me, I eventually managed to kill zuk and get the cape upgrade, but man, would of saved me so much time with this guide.

As a combat cripple loved the long form video. Something that's really helped me out is and allowed me to max my melee is an EOF with a saradomin godsword.

FYI! For Pools on Raksha, Matusa's Warspear is a Halberd range weapon and only costs like 2 mil. And I think Lac boots are super cheap too. Although can't remember off the top of my head.

I completely forgot about that! That would've been a better investment for the sake of this video. And yeah Lacerations have a mid of like 600k, but depending on demand can go for about 1-1.5m. Very cheap, useful power boots

Refreshing seeing PvM content like this and the video before this. instead of;what the other KZbinrs always saying, "Just use Animate Dead with Ganodermic or Cryptbloom armor oh wait.. let's add ridiculous amounts of other switches with billions more worth of gear then you'll be able to make all kinds of GP".. Laziness and not enjoyable in the slightest. Also, you actually showing your shortcomings and not cutting it so we can visually see for ourselves how to do better while using the bare minimum armor and abilities it's nice. I'm a end game 19 plus years player so content like this is what I'm looking for in guides for the lower level player base to inspire not intemadate away. Keep up the good material.

When you say value of the perk, what do you mean exactly? Value like tier of the perk, or value in sense of how important it is in your progression?

Ohh okay yes, it’s an average cost. The components you use to get specific perks can come from various sources, some only come from one source, etc. and at that, some special components are guaranteed while others aren’t. For example Faceted components are a rare component used for the Enhanced Devoted perk, which come from various glass items in game like crystal flasks, but it can also come from vials. Depending on which route you choose, you could spend more or less in that specific component. If you wiki the component though, it’ll have an Average Value for that component, which I believe takes all possible methods into consideration to find that figure. Then after that, you have to consider the amount of that component used for each attempt of the perk you’re going for, and then on average, how often will you get that perk? So if a faceted component costs 10k for example, it takes 8 for a chance at enhanced devoted 4, that’s 80k per attempt, and if it takes an average of 10 tries to get it, it’ll cost an average of 800k. That’s not the actual value of the components I don’t think, just using it as an example. For this video though, I just referred to the pvme discord perk channel as they have average values listed for all recommend perks.

Do you recommend Melee in PVM for a midgame player? So many people say Magic is best but you make Melee look so fun and potent.

I recommend whatever style you like the most! Melee is a cheaper buy-in than the other styles, but more difficult to master. I started with melee myself just because I love the aesthetic, and I believe that set me up well when learning range and mage. Most people suggest mage because it’s not only strong, but learner friendly as well. Whichever you prefer is the way to go!

If you’re up for melee I’d recommend that, it is more difficult to play just a fair warning but it’s very worth learning.

For sure! Target cycling basically allows you to grab a target with a keybind as opposed to clicking. This frees up your clicking to use supplies from the inventory, or to move. The benefits are that it can’t miss, it can also grab targets before a targets click box appears (ex: Helwyr is targettable before he’s clickable). It also makes crowded areas like infernal star wildy event a lot easier to navigate target-wise, as it gets very dense with players making it hard to see targets. If you want to keybind it, it’s in settings -> controls, and all the way near the bottom. There’s a couple options, I just use target cycle forward.

did they remove the hurricane set bonus from dark ice? i bought em after watching this video but it isnt working or maybe im missing something? i have augmentor but i couldnt find gizmo for it yet still figuring out invention

Sort of. They removed the ability to use hurricane with lengs, but they changed the special attack to essentially another form of hurricane. The swords also have a passive that will increase your damage with the special attack, and further improve basic damage after use. It also reduces adren cost per stack. Invention is a big beast, the gizmo’s you have to create yourself at a workbench. I’d recommend checking out the wiki and reading up on gizmos. It’s a lot to explain but the wiki is a very good resource for all of that information, as well as some decent perks to shoot for depending on your budget.

Yes, they’ve been given a special attack and passive that boosts ability damage after using spec. Target cycle is a setting to keybind, go to controls in settings, scroll down towards the bottom and you should see target cycle forward/backward. I just bind target cycle forward.

K after watching my only criticism is why did you put the handicap of not using manual abilities? That felt super weird. A better thing would at least be put 5-6 basics on revo, and then just manually do barge zerk assault cane and destroy. Thats not even many binds either. Idk it just felt weird to watch you 4head revo it all the way like as you said yourself there are guides where people revo afk pretty much anything so yea idk it just felt a bit useless. Other than that Im excited to see you use overpower now as well and do more difficult bosses in this setup (hopefully with manual tho x) )

When I first got into pvm, I was using t90 tectonic and nox staff, and I couldn’t do a fraction of what I’m able to do today. It takes practice and patience, but it does work out eventually I guarantee it 🙌🏼 my best recommendation is challenging yourself to do a boss a step up from what you normally do, and doing it over and over until you learn it, then eventually once you learn it find out how to do it more effectively. By effective, i don’t necessarily mean kill times necessarily, but being able to reduce your food intake, skip mechanics, etc. Learning one boss really well makes all the following encounters a little bit easier.
