I'm done with bodybuilding as a sport. My buddy died this year at the age of 28, he was an IFBB pro. Boston passed at 29 leaving behind a young family. A host of bodybuilders died last year. This sport goes against human biology and there is no healthy way to participate in it. Look at sports like mma where they are bashing each other's heads in and using peds but we don't see them dying in numbers like bodybuilding. I don't see any sports reporting this amount of deaths. This is my opinion and thoughts on the subject and many of you may disagree, but I just can't see myself enjoying this sport anymore, and that's coming from someone that doesn't even use peds, but this sport has put a sour taste in my mouth. Rip Boston, praying for you and your loved ones.

Agree. As someone who grew up in the '90s "Muscle & Fitness"/pro-wrestling era when 300-lb mass monsters would be telling kids to eat their vegetables, Bostin Loyd was an epiphany. Those who were there remember how he took a wrecking ball to the colossal illusion that was the fitness/bodybuilding industry and really triggered a massive shift in the way bodybuilding/fitness is discussed. Kids today would quickly recognize the delusion of the past era as such and that's largely attributable to Bostin's no-BS honesty. He broke tons of us young meatheads out of the matrix and revealed the ugly realities of the industry when pretty much no one else would. It was truly truly cathartic. No when you die at 29 you don't have a full life, he will have had some good times but he will never see his son grow and will miss out on the best parts of his life. Don't burn the candle at both ends you are not invicible, take care of your health it is true wealth.
Thanks for the update. I'm surprised but not really surprised. I mean I knew Bostin was playing games with his life, and he knew that too. But I didn't think it would happen this quickly or suddenly. So many people are passing away recently, even people I know personally, it almost feels like the end of days for me. Crazy times.

So sorry for your loss. Bostin seemed like a very honest and decent man. I remember being afraid for him years ago when he spoke about his drug use. I think that when someone sees results from drugs it sometimes causes a strong physiological addiction. I think they believe they can't be whole without the drugs. Especially when they have convinced themselves their livelihood depends on looking a certian way. I'm sure you gave him the best advice anyone could have given. I remember you warning him years ago. Perhaps he would be here now if he had been able to listen to you then. So sorry for the young man's passing.

My initial reaction was shock and pain. I had just watched him on Leo's podcast. After a week or so, I started to feel angry at him for being so stupid to do this to himself and his family. Watching back old podcasts where people told him to be careful as he just laughed and shrugged it off is just frustrating. I could understand if he had a genetic predisposition to kidney disease and he took a couple of cycles that set it off, but he long had symptoms of kidney disease. Don't kid yourself guys, it wasn't just 1 peptide that did this. Tony Huge said that years ago him and Bostin both had their bloodwork done and the clinic called Tony, thinking it's Bostin, to tell him to go to the hospital immediately because his potassium was out of control. High potassium is one of the signs of kidney malfunction. He had been destroying himself for years. Even if he didn't take that peptide he would have ended up the same in the coming months/years. It's sad that he was so unaware and delusional about his health and steroid abuse. He was stubborn and addicted to drugs. That's all you can say. His greatest contribution will be a cautionary tale, not his steroid knowledge or even his personality.

I think Dave has been pretty good about doing both. I mean, Bostin had just died like hours before Dave released this video. There should be a “mourning” video that is dedicated only to Bostin. Then, after the funeral (which I’m not sure there will be one, but if there is and Dave attends, after the funeral, Dave can then do his “bodybuilding advice” video where he talks about how to SAFELY be a bodybuilder on steroids (which I’m sure Dave will do if he hasn’t already).
