if this were in BOA/WGI/etc I would have zero problem with them. I watched the entirety of the WGI finals weeks on FLo and enjoyed it immensely. But everyone seems to conveniently forget.. DRUM AND BUGLE CORPS was founded as an activity designed to take the Miltary Ceremonial Units, and all the tradition and rigorous guidelines that were part of it, and create something the youth of that era could do as teambuilding, music education, personal growth, and physical fitness activities. Marching Bands already existed, and this was quite intentionally supposed to be something different. Costumes form Paradise Lost were at least tolerable because they had the colors and a bit of flavor hearkening back to the origins of BAC> . BUT THIS ABOMINATION, in terms of an actual CORPS, not BAND, ... the founders of BAC and the rest of the generation of Jim Jones are spinning so fast in their graves that earthquakes are being generated. This was NOT what they worked so hard to create DCI for. I am not advocating for the full hardcore military aspect the American Legion/VFW/whatever would demand, but neither will I be silent about this insanity. We have now lost Southwind, Louisiana Stars, and Heat Wave primarily because of this idiotic insistence on the new uniforms/props, etc every year, and the astronomical sums required of marchers. Some others folded due to behavioral/administrative elements, but the gargantuan costs involved in staying active, especially Post-COVID were undoubtedly a final nail in the bigger picture. I still haven't been able to discern what was behind the disappearance of Watchmen, but Id bet actual money that insane costs were a major part. Shadow also folded due to internal issues, and Legend will likely never be back either considering the near fatal blow it took with all the deaths. Perhaps some of these corps might have tried to restart after fixing the issues, if the costs of just the design logistics hadnt exploded into madness. NOTE: someone recently explained that Oregon Crusaders were suspended for noncompliance in some major ethical changes post - GH disaster, and you add in costs of trying to return and it was easier to throw in the towel.] [BTW, Does anyone truly think Heat Wave will be back? They do NOT have the resources SCV did to recover]. WHY THE HELL DOES EVERYTHING HAVE TO BE BRAND NEW? Use some of the undoubted residual library of costumes, flags, etc hell even some of the old actual UNIFORMS if they still survive, and then the corps and its members would have a helluva lot easier time weathering the storm of Food, travel, etc costs that the corps can never control at all.

The uniforms are… not going to help their visual score. Broken apart uniform colors make it much more difficult for unifying moments to impact from a visual perspective. Unique uniforms are fine, but if they are too different in theme or color, then it does not feel cohesive.

I think the effect is going to be similar to to cadets 2011. but like more rainbow if that makes sense. I think they might win visual with this if done right. could make for some crazy 3d effects.

@@erroneous3493 In the Cadets 2011 show, the dichotomy of the two colors made a lot of sense with how they split up the members. It was multi-performance layered drill with part of the show with them split up, other times combined in thematic formations. If BAC breaks down the colors in a clever manner, awesome. Otherwise, it will feel messy.

​@jakobbarr4216 they're using the colors of the programming screens you would see on old televisions. With all of the multicolored bars going vertically across the screen. The uniforms are perfect for the show, and with the lights on the Shakos, they're gonna look even cooler. People forget vanguard had lights on their uniforms about 10 years ago and they too looked really cool!
