That is Brad singing the chorus but Fran is singing the verses. Corporate America is the last Boston album that Brad Delp performed on before his suicide. I saw them live in Austin in 2004 and Brad was in good spirits but he could no longer hit that high note on More Than A Feeling. Fran had to finish it off for him.
@ButOneThingIsNeedful4 жыл бұрын
@@richardjohnson4071 Are you sure about that? Unless I am mistaken the album's credits do not list Delp for vocals or background vocals on this track. It names him as lead vocalist on four songs, and backing vocalist on one other (not Cryin'). Chorus sounds like Cosmo to me.

We have two different lives and families, but I have this desire tugging and ripping at my heart to talk to you at least one last time, before my life on earth finally ends. I have to ask, why God has spared my life when death knocked and the stars of heaven were near. If I call, I hope you answer, if not, I still love you so much Kimberly Ann. I have peace with God, but shall not rest until I hear your voice again.

@@basquehound1999 It’s Fran Cosmo who provided the vocals for this track. Also, one day people will stop resurrecting comments from when I was an edgy teenager… Maybe I should just make a new KZbin account at this point, throw that on top of all the shit I need to change since I transitioned. 😅

Can't you see my heart is crying as life’s memories flash before my eyes? I spend nights thinking about your beauty, your face is as clear as it was yesterday. My life since we parted has not been complete for I figured out that you girl had stolen my very soul, I have spent my life falling in and out of love and my love for you has gotten stronger. I try to forget you, but fail each time. Memories of you fill my head and soul, and my eyes tear just thinking about you and your beauty.

+ohger1 i had a good time?
@ohger18 жыл бұрын
asfd asdhjh I know a lot of people like that track, but in my opinion (Boston fan from the debut's debut!), it's a dumbed down track that Scholz wrote to try to appeal to the modern music listener who can't grasp a more intricate melody, dynamic chord progressions and an army of harmonizing guitars.. IHAGT features a very weak melody line that's repetitive. The bridge is pretty good but the glee club ensemble in the chorus is annoying. A good Boston song is one where you can listen to it for years and it still grabs you. IHAGT may do that for some, but not for me. I can listen to once per year maybe and enjoy it, but repeated listens starts to annoy me.
@ohger18 жыл бұрын
ViciousAlienKlown Had a lot of potential that song did, but the odd Flamenco style guitar playing over and drowning out the mumbled vocals is too much for me to stomach. That became one of the first "skip" tracks on this album back when I first bought the CD. But actually, Livin For You (live) is probably the best track on Corporate America followed by Cryin.
@ohger18 жыл бұрын
ViciousAlienKlown Yes, but the live version is at the end of Corporate America. It's the best track followed by Cryin in my opinion.
@ohger18 жыл бұрын
ViciousAlienKlown I don't dislike the song as much as I do the production. As I said, it had (has) a lot of potential, just that the arrangement really hurts it in my opinion. Again, the guitar over the mumbling just annoys the heck out of me. But yeah, it could have been a great song.

I love this album except for the song with that awful girl singer - has no place on a Boston album. Anyone know if Boston is creating any new albums, even if Brad has left us? Michel
