Enjoyed the video, so many memories brought back to life. Been gone from Dot. Over 50 years., but still a large part of who I am.

It's by far the most popular video that I've made. Many comments just like yours - people who lived there and have memories. Glad you enjoyed it. 🙂

At 9:28, if you look to the right where the Thai restaurant now is, was where my grandfather's deli -- The Fields Corner Delicatessen -- was from the mid-1930s to the early 1960s. My dad would love this, I wish he could see it.

I live off 'the Ave' in Savin Hill. Did you know that from where you stopped at the end, Dot Ave actually continues on behind the South Postal annex and South Station and ends up behind the Federal Reserve bank at the intersection of Congress St. When I was young in the 70's you could actually drive through on that strech
@bostonwalkdrive7763 Жыл бұрын
I actually wanted to drive thay last stretch but it looked like it wasn't open to general traffic. Next time I'm there I might walk that stretch though.

Hi JD. I don't have many views on any of my videos, but of all my videos, Dorchester Ave. Drive is the most popular. I guess there are a lot of people out there who miss the old neighborhood. I did that video last winter, so maybe it's time for another one.

Hi Mike, I started to do a video on Saturday going from Brockton to Randolph, and my SD card failed on my Go Pro about 8 seconds into the video! I'll give it another try at some point.

Bombadieri's in Fields Corner had the best cannoli's ever! They were a quarter each and my stomach is growling as I type this. Where I live now, they put chocolate chips in their cannoli's and charge $5.00 each. Old Rocco Bombadieri would be outraged.
