As it happens, Automatic Fire Alarm Activations or AFA's for short happen alot, especially in big cities. A firehouse might run half a dozen before seeing an actual working fire in a shift.

Great vid. Used to work over on washington. Used to see the high rise responses all the time because someone fell asleep with pizza in the over, but youre right.... you never know when its a real fire vs some bs like that. COMPLACENCY KILLS btw it was either 660 or 560? wash that always had the "burning pizza" high rise calls lol i feel bad for the FF's but i guess it was good training for them, idk.

Love the Boston, FDNY, Philly, DC, Cincinnati and i can say Baltimore fire departments and cities, they have that old time style and history and has never changed, but would love to see the Boston fire dept, add a few Seagraves to their fleet to go with those beautiful E one trucks they have now , a few pumpers and tillers would definitely look spectacular in their fleet and would give them that legendary look from back in the day when they had them, to me Boston, Philly, and Cincinnati are set up and designed like New York City and have all that old Rowhouse and characteristics to their city and downtowns and were all heavily bent on Seagraves that were made and designed for tuff urban cities like the ones i mission here, in my opinion e one and pierce also share that same style as well and all 3 are my top 3 favorite apparatus brands of fire apparatus, and to see in department fleets, I also think Boston would look nice with some Ferreira ultra heavy rescue squads like the FDNY has, and 2 or 3 of the new Pierce ascendent mid mount platforms , and Boston would have a fleet to be reckoned with..
