It baffles the mind how beautiful Boston is while Philadelphia crumbles. Both have deep roots in the formation of this country. I lived two towns south from Boston for a little over a half a year and I loved every trip to Boston.

I love Boston.I grew up not far from Boston and all of my family hated going into Boston and most of them moved out of Massachusetts. I love it even stuck in traffic in Boston.I just love it.I don't know what's wrong with me! ⛵ If anyone visits in the summer time you gotta hit up Cape Cod! But go on the less beaten path, not the big touristy places. Don't even get me started about Nantucket & Martha's Vineyard! Mind blowing! But the secret is go a little bit out of season!

I really enjoyed the video with the exception to the Christopher Columbus comment.

I know. By today's standards, was there a man alive that wasn't a brutalizing schmuck? It is so easy to look at the past through naive rose colored glasses.

The Big Dig was nothing but a huge success. It was an extremely complex and novel project. Don't let the Debby Downers fool you. Traffic with it's noise and pollution where placed underground and vented beyond pedestrian level. We now have a large greenway running through the city instead of an old rusting elevated highway that was literally falling apart and split the city from the harbor. Traffic moves MUCH better than before - especially getting to and from the airport. The new road handles more traffic than the old artery ever could. Yes, there are still back ups during rush hour - but think of how much worse they would be if we were still using the old smaller decrepit artery.

The beaches of nearby Cape Cod - more than compete with the beaches of the West Coast.

Nice job covering my city. Surprised you didn't mention cannoli's and the famed North End establishments Mike's and Modern's. Another one they talk about a lot is the Boston Creme from Omni Parker House hotel also not so great. Your on point with ice cream from toscanini's or waffles from Curio being good options. I'd also throw in donuts from Union Sq Donuts as something that is must try, its just a stone throw away from back Bar and they have other locations too.

Boston have some of the oldest bars in america near the Marketplace.
@bighuge1060 Жыл бұрын
I went to two of them and count myself fortunate being able to do so. The narrow, cobblestone streets in that section give you a sense of history even though none of these bars are exactly the original ones. But you did feel the history and that's what Boston is all about.

@@bighuge1060 Yep, knowing that Paul Revere used to sip beer there while plotting the night run makes you feel the history 😀
