@PKingman I am a motor officer, and most of us volunteer our time for these assignments, or we take it out in comp time, so the city isn't charged any more than normal, as well as the citizens for events like this.

@Jimbobthebarbarian both FD and PD are great careers I work in NYC and the NYPD is great because you always have someone watching your back and someone to call for extra help (ESU, Bomb Squad, JTTF etc...) and we're on Blue Bloods

This is in 2009 when the no red forward lights law just came out. That's why so many vehicles had red lights back then in Massachusetts.
