Lived on Wolcott St. in Dorchester over by Franklin Park long enough to get a local feel. Can't complain had more fun than not. Plenty to see and do. Not sad I left.

Quincy market is basically a food court. Go to the old Faneuil Hall instead right next door. Beacon hill is nice as it has the old city feel to it and lots of little shops and such. If you have kids they might like the Museum of Science as it's very interactive.
