I grew up 40 minutes west of Boston. Everything you said is accurate except the part about the Constitution... It was read a few days after its signing on July 4th, so it was probably read around the time you said. It was the first public reading, they wanted to do it here first because independence was the people of Bostons idea. It was read from the state house, not the common. Theres a little wrought iron balcony sticking out from the old state house, thats where it was read. Every year on the 4th of July they do a full reading and reenactment. Driving around the entire state is difficult. Our roads weren't meant for cars, its very easy to get lost and people drive aggressively. Its very easy to find yourself in a scary situation if you don't know what your doing. Not scary in terms of neighborhoods but getting lost and turned around. Google Maps doesn't always work in the city. That said, its an amazing place with great food and things to do. The entire state is like a history or literature lovers dream!

Welcome to Boston Sir hope you enjoyed your visit. 🙏🌹🌄😍🦞🌭 We have a great subway system. You don't have to drive if you don't want to. We don't really have bad traffic not the way you described 😁 but currently it's a pain because of construction 🚧 due to replacing underground pipes. That has slowed travels around the city. 🏙️ Littering is not allowed we hate that. Lots of history here. And very diverse community and cuisine! Enjoy!

Respectfully, I usually like his videos but I've lived in Boston since I came up for college decades ago. He really left out so much of the great areas in town. Please don't base your Boston plans on this! And also know that the driving is much, much easier...as is everything in the summer when the students are gone! And if you're going to be here long enough I would recommend a couple of day trips. Plymouth Would be at the top of my list. It's 1 of the few places I never get tired taking friends when they visit there's always so much to see and do in that town. If there's any specific questions we can help you with please just ask. End please please be vaccinated! We have over 80% vaccination rate and 1 of the lowest infection rates in the country. Tourists and college kids scare me nothing personal of course 😁 Oh the 1 super touristy thing I would actually recommend are the Duck boat tours. In a couple of hours you will see all the historic sites and get it over with LOL and you'll also have a nice ride in the Charles River. Not to mention being on boats that have had their tires worn out repeatedly with are championship teams victory parades!!!

Boston is so much fun! Spent most of my life here. Wish the bars were open later and that the rent didn’t cost $2500 a month for a shoe box but if you live outside of the city and don’t mind a 20-45 minute (without traffic) drive then it’s great
@iampavle31532 жыл бұрын
@@edalvarez8901 Is Boston good for starting a new life in America, as an immigrant? How high are taxes tho?
@edalvarez89012 жыл бұрын
@@iampavle3153 It really depends on a few things! What do you do for work? Boston is a very very very expensive city to live in so you need a job that can pay for the rent/mortgage prices that we’ve got here. If you’re not wandering into the suburbs or other parts of the state then you could get away with not having a car and just staying in the greater Boston area all the time and traveling around by train but a car makes it so much easier to visit other really cool places like Salem, Cape Cod, or any of the beaches in The North Shore. It’s also a great place to network and make friends with people from all over the world, it’s probably the biggest perk of having so many prestigious colleges and universities here because every fall there’s a wave of thousands of new undergrads or grad students coming in from all over the US and the world! Which brings me to the food, everyone says New York has the best food in the northeast but every time I go to New York I’m never blown away by the food (it’s good just not something I’m willing to move for) but Boston being such a diverse place has really good Mexican, Indian, Japanese, Italian, Brazilian, Nigerian, Chinese, etc. and a lot of it is mom and pop owned restaurants with recipes that are generations old and absolutely incredible! In the end it all comes down to what your do for work and whether it can sustain you here in Boston. I will say that it is significantly cheaper to live outside the city and commute in but if you really want to live in Boston prepare yourself for nothing less than $2500 a month and that’s slowly rising as well! If you do decide to come, shoot me a message, maybe we can grab a beer!

Okay I figured out what's driving me completely insane about this video. He's literally jumping all over town.1 minute he's at the Aquarium. Then he's in back bay but if you blink you miss it. And the duck tour literally goes all through Boston I had recommended it to someone else Below before he even got on it. But he didn't even show any of the historical sites they point out. Or Cheers LOLOL. Then he's back across town at the Black Rose. Not a bad pub but literally 2' away from Quincy market and Faneuil hall. But instead he bops across to the old state house. Then he eventually ends up back at Faneuil hall. I could go on but you see my point. You would leave more tired Then if you went to Disney world at world drop and stayed through the fireworks without sitting down. And the great thing about Boston is it such an easy city To get around in without total exhaustion. And FYI the North end is our Italian neighborhood. We do not have a "liittle Italy," we have a North End! We also have a pretty good Chinatown as well. I have to take a break from this video cause it's not doing good things to my blood pressure LOL (All through the summer there are different street Feasts in the North end. Hopefully they're back since are virus rates are so low) And we are wicked nice just brutally honest. Some people can take that wrong.
