It's more than a feeling (more than a feeling)
When I hear that old song they used to play (more than a feeling)
And I begin dreaming (more than a feeling)
'Til I see Marianne walk away
I see my Marianne walking away

I am!!! How are you? I'm a lot better now that I ran across this song and all the comments from all you cool people, This is my all time favorite rock band of all time!!! They are timeless and when you hear any of there songs it transports you to that wonderful young age and all good feelings start to flow, right? Listen to Hitch a Ride, the guitars in that song are mesmerizing man💯

Living in the time when this album came out.. living it when it happened... I can’t even explain how wonderfully magical it truly was. This song has a magical power that can transform me to being 12 years old.. that time when everything is changing.. no longer a child but not an adult. Boston’s album was the soundtrack of my life at that time.. my sister and I listened to it EVERY DAY.. many times a day... I loved it then and I love it now.. it will never be out of date or not relevant to me.

Unreal is the word I used after hearing this song so long ago. Still react the same way. Best of the best. Thanks to all those musicians who put this together. And special thanks to Tom without his creative and tenacity this would never be heard by millions upon millions of people.

I'm 67 yrs old, heard Boston for the 1st time walking down a dusty street in a place called Los Angeles in southern Chile in 1976 as a missionary for the LDS church and thought man, what great music. Been married for 45 yrs but every time I hear this song and particularly the line "and dream of a girl I used to know" takes me back almost 50 yrs and the memory of the cutest, nicest, sweetest girl I ever knew and wished I had danced with her when she asked me too, she was with another guy and he wasn't treating her very well but I didn't want to cause any trouble, all I can say is if a girl asks you to dance even if she is with someone else, do it or you'll be regretting it for a long, long time.

I was a kid in the 70s and a teenager in the 80s, man I'm telling you it was the best time to be that age. High school , girls, cars and rock concerts.and real friends.....we had it all. Even back then we felt the same about these songs as we all do now. Listening now, these songs bring back memories forgotten both good and bad, friends that are no longer here...but I wouldn't change it for the world. These songs shaped who we are today, and those of you in your 50s, you know exactly what I mean. If we could go back I know you would drop what your doing and get on that bus. Appreciate your memories and never stop listening to this stuff... its the soundtrack to our lives. Cheers everyone.

A timeless song that will truly remain as one of the greatest records of all time. 1976!...and forever Edit: It's important to listen to this song cranked on full volume through a not overly bass heavy/boomy speaker system (yeah, fuck the neighbours) - you really get a proper feel for the tune and hear all the brilliant nuances of Tom Scholz's playing and mastery production

Summer 1976. I was 18 years old when I, with my green WV Beetle and my friends heard this immortal song for the first time. It was a fantastic night. I drove on the highway most of the night, then we slept in sleeping bags next to the Beetle. The sunrise. Then the sea. I'm 65 now. It was a moment to go from being a teenager to finding myself... old. Every now and then I listen to this song together with the others that were the soundtrack to my youth and the memories become crowded, school, girls, cigarettes, liquor, parties. The future. Now remain a thread of nostalgia.

Brad's voice in this song simply soars. It's like a rocket leaving the planet. Just when you think it's reached the limit, he cranks it into another octave and even the angels are going "Damn, that's beautiful."

I think its a technique musically known as a fugue. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fugue Listen to how Brad works with the voices of the rest of the band. These guys knew what they were doing. Bach was a genius at these able to compose 11 layers in his head.

It is hard to communicate just how tremendously BOSTON rocked the world of music when they blew onto the scene. Just imagine the world's ears hearing Brad's voice and all the layered guitars playing in harmony. The songs were fresh. hell, they were explosively, sonically galactic! The air rang out with Boston. Radio stations played multiple cuts on rotation. Every car with a tape deck was blasting it. My whole block got Boston concerts that summer of release, cos my windows were open & my Marantz turntable was spinning Boston with the receiver maxed to the max!! BOSTON was everything!!
