Sounds like GERD to me; I had it pretty bad at one point in my life. I remember doing the same procedure. It burns your insides, making you short of breath (you feel like you have asthma) and almost feeling like you have a heart attack. But all that is happening is your stomach acids are coming up to your throat. The acid travelling thru the middle of your body make feel short of breath and heart palpitations. Changing your diet a bit, losing weight, and putting cement blocks under your bed, so it's tilled while you sleep will fix the problem.

When did she say her symptoms/ what procedure she was having? All that was subbed was that she's getting tube in her windpipe but that could be a lot of things. I know she can't have alcohol but again that could be a for many different reasons. My Japanese isn't strong enough to understand medical terms from the stream source but if she explicitly said it there I'd like to know.

yeah I also think that it is related to gastrointestinal problem due to the examination method.
