Thanks for the video! To fix the rotation set the Rotation to Object Y, randomize to 0, random phase to 0 and phase to 0 as well. Now you have all the assets pointed up as a starting point.

I honestly prefer the previous layout esp for scattering objects, now have to make a new workspace for Botaniq the presets were much easier to use , i just hope now they focus on adding more assets and impove the tree trunk Quality Keeping my fingers crossed for the Palm trees to get, though I'll probably die dreaming 😢

I have a workaround for the Global Z rotation problem, basically just rotate the mesh of each tree in edit mode 90deg on X or Y (forget which) and it fixes it.

yes to get best results and use phase normally just turn the mesh to 90° on Y axis

In the old version it was 1 click to cover an object with grass. Here it's a lot of steps. Why is it better?

Love the Polygoniq addons 🔥👍🔥 I only have the lite version on Botaniq (full on the others ☺️) but even the lite version there’s so much to choose. And so easy with Engon. Love the videos 👍🔥

I'm going back to version 6.8 , version 7.0 gas been a massive headache for me, its overly complicated , i see no upside, I hate the separate window i preferrd the pop up from the side since it'd just go away once i select my Asset instead of Constantly fiddling with tabs battling for screen Real Estate . I cant find the Randomkze variant bottom I hate that all the assets you add are just thrown into one folder instead of the separate folders of past versions for each plant type , now they are mixing my shrubs , flowers ,deciduous etc all in one folder. Also the Scattering in the previous version was faster and more efficient

i prefered the old system aswell, for scattering i suggest you use geo scatter which is much better and works fine and low poly surfaces

Dosnt work with 4.2 Alpha (Blender Default asset browser after Using Engon i installled Botaniq, Traffiq and zero assets added) , Engon is installing correct, Engon browser work correct but using Asset Browser without drag and drop option is a bit non effective.

Add-ons rarely work in the Alpha versions of Blender, as it's very difficult for the developers to get the add-ons updated this quickly. I'd go with one of the stable or LTS versions. I believe Botaniq is updated up to 4.0 right now (not 100% sure)
