​@@Noa_Lynnit was right after season 9 so it's very likely that she indeed had a lot of obligations like many queens do and also drag is expensive. We may look at the queens who make it on the show as success story but they are also under the pressure of having to do more and have to pay for more. So it kinda balances it out. I'm not saying they're broke but they are also very much not as rich as some people believe. She is not a millionaire either. She can afford a house at least (which is miraculous in this economy), but she isn't settled for retirement for example.

It's kinda sad trinity felt like she had to get plastic surgery to be able to hold her own in her career, and then couldnt get it fixed because she couldnt take time off. I never knew Detox got abdominal implants. He’s talked about his other surgeries before, but I’ve never heard him mention the abs. I can empathize with him. I had my abs done too and feel like I was mutilated. I started having problems right from the gecko. I even went back to the doctor and he did a follow up procedure. I feel like I was deceived and being fed a line of BS each time I expressed my concerns I am so miserable and have so many regrets, I can truly understand how detox feels. Unfortunately, I do not have his fame or fortune to fix the problem that I created.

The drag industry needs to take a good, long look at itself. The number of drag artists getting illegal and highly risky procedures is deeply concerning and seems to be in epidemic proportions. I think it’s a worrying contradiction that we hear so much about self love and acceptance from this industry but so much desire to change and “improve” themselves through surgery etc. I’m a gay man btw so not hate here just a lot of concern!

You should check out some of their other episodes. They have helped people who have been seriously mangled by incompetent doctors. One major issue is that in the States, you don't have to be certified as a designated plastic surgeon, a ear, nose, and throat doctor can do plastic surgery. It's important to only go to a board certified plastic surgeon. Here in Canada, all plastic surgeons must be board certified and prove their competence before being allowed to start in on somebody's face. Like I mentioned, some of the horrific things that have been done to(mostly) women's faces, breasts, and tummies, is heartbreaking.
